Reminder: Please Complete – SJS Parent Survey 2017

The Saint James 2016-2017 School board is looking for your feedback to help set goals for next year.  Please complete one survey per family for each category where you currently have a child enrolled.  All surveys are anonymous unless you voluntarily provide your name in the comments section.  If you wish to view the full SJS Pre-K – Grade 8 Parent/Guardian Letter regarding the survey, you may read it HERE.

Note: Families new to the SJS Kindergarten – 8th grade this current year should use the New K-8 Family Survey they received under a separate e-mail to provide their feedback.

Reminder: Open House For Prospective Families Tomorrow

Saint James School will host an Open House for families considering our Pre-Kindergarten and/or Kindergarten through 8th Grade program for the 2017-2018 school year.  If you know of anyone who may be considering Saint James School, please invite them to attend.

Questions regarding admissions for next year may be directed to Mrs. Delsignore in the main office (edelsignore@saintjamesschool.net) or our Advancement Director, Amy Guenther (aguenther@saintjamesschool.net).  Applications for the 2017-2018  school year are already being accepted for new Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade students for next year. Returning student registration forms will be sent home on Wednesday of this week.

Thank you to everyone who liked and/or shared our Open House post on Facebook.  If you have not already done so, please take a few moments to do so now by clicking HERE.

TIME CHANGE for Father/Son Event

If you did not RSVP but would like to attend, you are still welcome.  Simply pay at the door and join the fun.  Please note: only the families that sent in an RSVP form will receive complimentary beverages.

January 2017 SJS Parent Survey

The SJS Administration and 2016-2017 School Board are looking for feedback on your current experience as a Saint James School parent/guardian.  Please take a few moments to read the attached letter from the 2016-2017 SJS School Board and complete one survey per family for EACH AREA where you CURRENTLY have a child enrolled.

Surveys are short, anonymous, and allow for comments.  Your feedback is very important to us so please take the time to think through your responses (being as specific as possible) so that we may provide the best possible experience at each grade level.

Families NEW to the SJS K-8 Program this school year are asked to NOT take these surveys, and instead use the NEW K-8 Family Survey sent out under a separate e-mail by our Advancement Director, Amy Guenther.

As always, we sincerely thank you for your time and input!

Father/Son RSVP Extended to Tuesday

It’s not to late to join in the fun at Dave & Buster’s!  The RSVP deadline for the Father/Son Event has been extended to Tuesday (1/17).  Event flyers and power card order forms are available here (event flyer and power card order form).

Arrival & Parking

Mrs. Kanute would like to again thank all of our parents for their efforts to get their children to school on time the last few days:   We are getting better with only 4 tardy arrivals today.  Please continue your efforts to have your child(ren) at school in a timely manner so that they are not disrupting the classroom morning routine.  Detentions will continue to be given out for tardy arrivals without a truly valid reason.

Also, Mrs. Kanute is again asking that parents DO NOT PARK where there are posted “No Parking” signs.  There are lots of children, parents, and grandparents walking outside at drop-off and pickup and these no-parking signs were purposely put in place in specific areas with their safety in mind.  If the person picking-up has difficulty walking or has an infant/several young children, please call Mrs. Kanute to discus parking arrangements. Also, please remember children must always exit the vehicle in the morning on the SIDEWALK side.

If you have a family member or friend picking up your child(ren) at the end of the day or dropping them off in the morning, please re-confirm with them that they are aware of the drop-off and pick-up rules.  The school administration suspects that perhaps we have people still parking incorrectly because they are not aware that the no-parking signs are in place for a very specific reason.
