Saint James School draws approximately 400 students from over 15 towns to its Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 classes.  The largest percentage of students are from the town of Manchester, with additional students coming from towns such as South Windsor, Vernon, Coventry, East Hartford, Ellington, Tolland, Bolton, and Glastonbury.  While the majority of students are of the Catholic faith, approximately 25% are affiliated with other religious denominations.

Being part of a small community that includes a wide range of ages allows our students to feel as though they are part of a family. The students interact with students of other grades in many unique ways. These interactions develop confidence and leadership skills in our children and give them an opportunity that cannot be found in a typical school environment.

In addition, a number of the students at our school carry on a family tradition. Their parents and grandparents were also students at our school.
