Family Information Update Sheet

Please note that today or tomorrow your child(ren) will be bringing home a family contact/information sheet detailing your contact information as per our records.  Please take a moment to look over the contact information, make any corrections, and return it to the school office.  We thank you for your time and patience as we work to get our records up to date.

Saint James Church Pick-Up Reminders

A reminder for parents who are picking up students in the Saint James Church parking lot at the end of the day:

As always, the safety and well-being of our students is our number one priority.  Therefore, we ask that all parents exit their cars and meet their child(ren) at the entrance to the parking lot so we can see who is going with whom.

In addition, no cars are to move from their parking spots until ALL children and parents are safely in their cars.  A teacher will signal when it is appropriate to do so.

When it is time to exit the lot, remember to be courteous and respectful to your fellow SJS parents.

Your support of – and adherence to – these simple policies will ensure everyone goes home safe and happy.

We thank you for your support in this important matter.

IMPORTANT – Please Read: Lunch Account Statements

Lunch account statements will be coming home in the children’s folders today (negative balances) and tomorrow (all others).  If your statement shows a negative balance, please note that you MUST pay your remaining balance by the beginning of the day MONDAY.  If you currently have a negative balance, your child will not be able to buy hot lunch again until you have sent in money to cover the balance plus that current day’s lunch.

If your lunch account statement is positive, please make sure that you have enough money in your account to cover your child(ren)’s hot lunch purchases through the end of the school year.  Children will not be allowed to purchase hot lunch unless they bring cash or have money in their account to cover the purchase.

If you have any questions about your lunch account statement, please contact Nancy – our cafeteria manager – by calling 860.643.5088 (press 5 on the main menu) during the hours of 8am-10:30am or after 1:00pm.

We thank you for your support and commitment to ensure sure all lunch accounts are paid in full by the end of the school year.  As mentioned previously, the school is going to be billed for parent’s unpaid lunch account money and we need to take proactive steps to prevent this from happening.  We are also continuing to work with the town of Manchester to try bringing our lunch account program online for parents to be able to access from home.

Saint James JV Soccer Wins League Championship

For those that didn’t see our post on Facebook this weekend, we are excited to announce that the Saint James School JV Amber (5th Grade) Soccer Team for won their league championship on Saturday – 2nd year in a row for these kids!

Also, a huge congratulations to their coach – Jon Sargent – for winning the league’s Coach Sportsmanship Award for adhering to the principals of “Character, Commitment, Fairness, and Christ” in his coaching.  A well deserved award for both Jon and his team who really demonstrated model sportsmanship (along with our SJS parents) during the games and after their wins.

Way to go Sabers!!
