Due to the Blizzard of 2013, Saint James School will be changing the school calendar to reflect the 6 make-up days missed due to snow days.  With this, there are also new dates for Pre-K and Kindergarten graduations.  We realize the make-up days in February are short notice, but we do appreciate your support to work with the school.  We also understand that vacations have been planned and we will work with you to make up work missed.  We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please note, school busses WILL run on Wednesday (2/20) and Thursday (2/21), after/before care WILL be in session and there WILL be hot lunch both days.**

New calendar dates are:

School In Session:  February 20   Wednesday (full day)

February 21    Thursday (full day)

March 14        Thursday (1/2 day to full day)

May 7              Tuesday (1/2 day to full day)

June 14            Friday (1/2 day to full day)

June 17            Monday (1/2 day to full day)

*June 19            Wednesday (1/2 day – Last day of school)

February 14 Calendar changes 2012-2013

Wear Red, Pink & White tomorrow for a $1.00 donation to benefit the Marine troop of a former Saint James’ student.

Just a reminder that the final Read To Achieve sheets are due this Friday.  We look forward to celebrating your child(ren)’s achievement of their reading goal at the Springfield Armor basketball game on Friday, March 15th (details will be sent home with qualifying students).

Congratulations to Mrs. Wojtyna‘s 5th Grade class for winning the January Box Top Contest with 620 Box Tops collected.  Mrs. Wojtyna will be announcing the date for the class’ dress down day shortly.

Coming in second place for January was Mrs. Camposeo’s class with 313 Box Tops.

Collection for February has begun…please remember to keep sending in those Box Tops!

Once a year, Saint James School gives its students the opportunity to bring a friend to one of our middle school dances hosted at Saint James School. On February 8th, Saint James School students (only) may invite a friend to come to the dance with them.

The friend must bring a signed permission slip to the dance and the $5.00 “entrance fee” applies for the guest.  Bring-a-Friend Dance permission slips are on the Saint James School website (under the calendar entry for Friday’s dance) or by clicking Here.

Saint James School students that bring a friend will receive a raffle ticket and one raffle ticket for their guest. There will be extra prizes raffled off that evening.

Since this dance is being hosted at Saint James School we are asking for the following from our Saint James School attendees:
Saint James School Students:

• 6th Graders please bring individually wrapped snacks;
• 7th & 8th Graders please bring a gallon of water.
