To register for this session, please visit the Virtus Website. Select Hartford, CT (Archdiocese) and choose “Start Registration.” Scroll down until you see session at East Catholic. Please note, walk-ins are not allowed, you must register ahead of time.
1st Grade Butterflies
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolAfter saying a prayer for safe travels, SJS 1st graders (along with the Pre-Kindergarten students) released their butterflies into the wild yesterday afternoon. The 1st grade students have watched these classroom pets go from caterpillars to chrysalises to butterflies as part of their science studies. The 1st grade students later wrote stories about where the butterflies would travel to and what they would do while there. The stories were put into a cute butterfly folder they made in class. Used Book Sale Tomorrow
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolThe used book sale will be held during the school day on Thursday, May 26th. All classes will be coming down to browse/purchase books. All books will be priced at $1.00. Please make a note to have your child(ren) bring cash to school on May 26th if you wish for them to shop during class time. The used book sale will also remain open until 4:00pm so that parents can visit after pick-up and 2nd graders going on the field trip can shop when they return.

Drama Club Production Tonight
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolPlease join us TONIGHT (Friday, May 20th) at 7:00pm as the 2016 Saint James School Drama Club presents Dorothy in Wonderland. Admission is $5.00 ($20 per family max). Our students did an amazing job during their dress rehearsal performance, which was held this morning for SJS students and staff. Our Drama Club members and parent volunteers have worked really hard to bring this production to life – please encourage your family members and friends to attend as well! Special thanks to Mrs. Canna for all her time and energy as volunteer chair of the 2016 Drama Club. We hope to have more pictures from the show to add to the website and e-mail blast on Monday.
