Munson’s Fundraiser
We are excited to announce a delicious way to support Saint James School – our Munson’s Chocolate Fundraiser, with delivery of goodies just in time for Easter!
A copy of the following documents have been sent home with students to help with their selling efforts:
2023 SJS Munson’s Brochure & Order Form
During the fundraiser period, which runs through March 8th, collect orders and money from friends, family, neighbors, etc. Visit our Campaign page: https://www.munsonschocolates.com/online-fundraising/saint-james-schoolct-1 to place the order.
Checks should be made payable to Saint James School HSA. Please be sure to check your totals carefully. Copies of online orders and checks should be turned in to school by March 9th.
Orders will be ready the last week of March (pick-up date and instructions will be sent out via the email blast).
New Phone System
Over the break we had a new phone system installed here at school. Please be sure to listen to the updated menu when calling in as the extension you need may have changed (i.e. you will still press ‘1’ to reach the main office, however the nurse’s line is now number ‘4’, the social worker is now ‘7’, etc.).
Returning Family Registration Due Tomorrow
As a reminder, Returning Family Registration Forms were sent out last week via email and are due back by Thursday, February 23rd to secure your spot for the 2023-2024 school year. We do have hard copy forms available in the main office as well for families that are unable to print the forms at home. Please direct requests for another copy of the email or a hard copy form to Amy Guenther at aguenther@saintjamesschool.net.
Last Call to RSVP: 5th & 6th Grade Cornhole Tournament
Saint James School 5th & 6th grade students are invited to pair up and join their peers for some friendly competition in the Saint James School gymnasium on Saturday, February 25th as the HSA hosts our first ever CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT!
*The cost is $5 per player/student
*Event will run 6:00pm – 7:30pm

*Snacks and drinks will be provided
*We need 3-4 additional parent volunteers to stay and help us run this event (parents, please use above form to sign up to help)
*Trophies will be awarded to the top teams

Reminder: Card Collectors Social (Gr. 4-8)

Calling all trading card collectors in grades 4 – 8: Bring your favorite trading cards and join other collectors for a fun afternoon of socializing and trading!
When: February 28th from 2:00pm – 3:00pm

Ash Wednesday Prayer Service
On Wednesday, February 22nd, Saint James School will host a prayer service in our gymnasium to mark the start of Lent. Please note that students will receive ashes during this service.
Midwinter Recess Starts Tomorrow
As a reminder, there is no school tomorrow (Friday 2/17), Monday (2/20), and Tuesday (2/21) for our Midwinter Recess. We will see everyone back at school on Wednesday, February 22nd.
SJS Varsity Basketball at ECHS Tonight
This evening (2/16) all families are invited to join us as our girls and boys Varsity teams play St. Bridget at EAST CATHOLIC High School. There is plenty of seating at the ECHS gymnasium so we are hoping to see many SJS faces at the game to cheer on the players! Girls play at 6:00pm, followed by the boys at 7:15pm. Our cheerleaders will also be cheering during the first game.
