No students will be able to participate in the Open Gyms or any tryouts/practices without this form on file.

Also, please don’t submit any money at this time…program fees, forms, and additional program details are being finalized and will be communicated over the next few weeks.

Fall Into Reading

Mrs. Carpenter, our school Librarian, is kicking off the Fall Into Reading contest this week for Kindergarten – 6th grade students. For every book a student reads during the contest period, they should fill out a paper leaf which will be put into the “leaf bag” for their grade. The grade with the most leaves in their leaf bag at the end of the contest period – November 8th – will win a dress down day and no homework night. A copy of the letter the students are receiving during their library period this week may also be found here 2018 Fall Into Reading.

Good luck Sabers and happy reading!

Book & Art Club Update

Tonight: Family Movie Night

We are looking forward to seeing our families at Movie Night tonight!   All SJS students (including Pre-K) are welcome!  Please see this flyer for information and to RSVP (you can still RSVP today if you would like to come!).

Important: Grandparents’ & Special Persons’ Day

Mark your calendars for Grandparents’ and Special Persons’ Day!  We will host Grandparents and Special Persons of Kindergarten through Grade 5 students on October 26th from 10am-noon. As noted in the September Saber Stories Newsletter, Grandparents’ and Special Persons’ day will be for students in Kindergarten – 5th Grade only this year.

Unfortunately, we need to limit our guests on this day due to safety concerns, which is why the day will be designed for Kindergarten through grade 5 guests only.  Since the day is an early dismissal day (12:05pm), grandparents with students in the older grades are welcome to pick up their student and take them to lunch, etc.  Please keep in mind grandparents are our guests for this day.  If your K-5 child does not have a grandparent that is able to join us, a special guest (not a parent) is welcome to attend in place of a grandparent.  With limited space in the classroom and the nature of the day, if a grandparent is attending, that counts as your child’s guest.  Thank you for your understanding.

Our HSA is taking on the role of organizing the event and the format will be different than in years past.  More information will be sent out about this event in October.
