Thank you to all the middle school parents who came out for our Chromebook Informational Meeting last night. In case you didn’t make the meeting, attached are the documents that were handed out. Please note, insurance forms (attached below) are due back to the homeroom teacher are due back by October 27th.
As a reminder, there is a VIRTUS session tonight – Thursday September 28th (6:30pm) – at Saint James Church. To participate in a VIRTUS session, you must Pre-Register on the VIRTUS Site. This evening – Wednesday, September 27th (at 6:00pm) – will be an important meeting for grade 6 – 8 parents regarding the roll-out of Chromebooks for our Middle School students. Presenting information about the roll-out will be Laura McCaffrey, Director of School Support and Academic Services from the Office of Education, Evangelization and Catechesis, along with Mrs. Zorger and Mrs. Mayo. We look forward to seeing all of our 6th – 8th Grade parents there!
Basketball game schedules for the season will be set within the next few weeks for all the schools in our league. Therefore, we are asking all Saint James School parents to register their child(ren) for the upcoming season NOW so our Athletic Director can form the teams and get all teams on the schedule. Students in grades 4 – 8 expressing interest in basketball (through a show of hands) may make the team count/structure different last year, and consequently we may need to add or combine some teams.
In order to participate on an SJS basketball team this year all three items below must be turned in by the end of the day on Wednesday, September 27th. Please note, the school reserves the right to accept/not accept player registrations after September 27th based on existing team size, etc.
Completed forms and/or payment can be given to the homeroom teacher by the student or dropped off at the main office by the parent/guardian. (Please only pay the Basketball fee at this time, even if your child will be doing other sports or activities).
The Harry Geraghty XC Invite has been rescheduled to this Friday, September 29, 2017 (instead of Saturday). Students running in this meet will need to leave right after school on Friday; Parent drivers are needed. Please contact Mrs. O’Neill asap if you are available to help.

Middle School students interested in being part of our school’s Student Council this year are encouraged to attend an informational meeting in Mrs. Jones’ room on Tuesday, September 26th from 2:15pm to 2:45pm.
