1st HSA Meeting of the Year/Please Note Date Change
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolPlease join us for the first HSA (Home & School Association) Meeting of the 2013-2014 school year on THURSDAY, September 5th (please note date change) at 6:30pm in the Pre-Kindergarten building. The HSA – which is similar to a PTA or PTO – is open to all St. James School parents. Unlike many PTAs there is no fee to join and no minimum time commitment required.
At Saint James School, the HSA is comprised of parent volunteers who organize and support numerous events and fundraisers for the school.
We are always looking for new ideas and suggestions on how to improve the HSA and our school events. It is a great opportunity to meet new people and help make our childrens’ years at Saint James the best that they can be. Thursday’s meeting will be brief and informational for anyone who may be interested. If you can’t make it this time, our meetings are always open to everyone and usually occur the first Wednesday of every month. We hope to see you there!
If you have any questions, please let us know: Diane Parsons (diane@parsonsphoto.org), Linda Carpenter (tcarpenter2005@cox.net), Darcy Donnelly (tdonnelly4@cox.net).
Saint James Church Pick-Up Reminders
/in Uncategorized /by Saint James SchoolA reminder for parents who are picking up students in the Saint James Church parking lot at the end of the day:
As always, the safety and well-being of our students is our number one priority. Therefore, we ask that all parents exit their cars and meet their child(ren) at the entrance to the parking lot so we can see who is going with whom.
In addition, no cars are to move from their parking spots until ALL children and parents are safely in their cars. A teacher will signal when it is appropriate to do so.
When it is time to exit the lot, remember to be courteous and respectful to your fellow SJS parents.
Your support of – and adherence to – these simple policies will ensure everyone goes home safe and happy.
We thank you for your support in this important matter.
