Grandparents’ & Special Persons’ Day (with Pictures)

A huge thank you to everyone who helped with the coordination of Grandparents’ and Special Persons’ Day yesterday – the HSA counted 272 attendees!   During the ceremony, Mrs. Kanute read some funny and touching quotes from our students talking about what their grandparent or special person means to them.

Below are some pictures from yesterday.

Sports fees will be $65 for boys and girls Junior Varsity and Varsity teams.  Due to the overwhelming number of 4th & 5th grade boys trying out, there will also be a developmental play program for the remaining 4th & 5th grade boys.  Students in this category will have a $40 sports fee.

SJS Shines at the Manchester Elementary School Cross Country Challenge (Pictures Included)

A huge THANK YOU to all the parents who brought their Kindergarten – 5th grade students out to run on behalf of Saint James School in the Frank Rizza Manchester Elementary School Cross Country Challenge on Saturday.  It was a beautiful day for this fun, town-wide event.

Our runners definitely shined on Saturday.  Saint James School took home two trophies for the school (based on scoring of the top 5 finishers in each race).  The 4th & 5th grade boys took home the 1st Place Trophy for Saint James School and the 4th & 5th Grade girls took home the 3rd Place Trophy for Saint James School!

We also had an amazing 17 of our 32 runners take home a medal (top 15 in their race)!  Isabelle Burke took 1st Place in the Girls 4th & 5th Grade race, Abigail Ray took 1st Place in the Girls 2nd & 3rd Grade race, Brock Goodwin took 2nd Place in the Boys 2nd & 3rd Grade race (each of which had over 150 runners!).  In addition, Jack Christina came in 3rd Place in the Boys 1st Grade race.

Also, a huge THANK YOU to all the SJS middle school students and parents who volunteered at the event.
