This notice is for all parent/guardians whose children will be attending the Christmas Movie and Pizza Party of December 13th.
We wish to make you aware that after 12:05pm dismissal on 12/13, all school staff, including the school nurse will NOT be in the school building during the time of the party (which runs from dismissal until 4:00pm).
If your child becomes ill, injured or has an emergency the parent volunteers will be contacting parents/guardians to come to the school.
If your child has specific health issues that we should be aware of, we recommend that parents contact either of the following parent volunteers before December 13th:

Lost & Found Items – Pictures
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolBelow are pictures of the items still remaining in our lost & found (clicking the picture will enlarge it). The tables will be set up through the end of day Thursday. Please feel free to stop by at morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, or during the day to see if any of these “lost” items belong to your family. After Thursday, any remaining sweatpants, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, etc. will be delivered to a local shelter or, if appropriate, sent over to our uniform closet.
Saint James School Family Directory

One copy is being sent home per family (it will come home with the youngest child). Please remember, parents had to opt in or out of the directory, so not all SJS families will be included.
Box Tops Winners
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolCongratulations to Mrs. Cunningham’s 1st grade class for winning the November dress down day. Her class brought in 731 box tops for the month. In second place was Mrs. St. Jean with over 600 box tops. Mrs. Cunningham will let her class know when their dress down day will occur.
2nd Grade Gingerbread Houses

Mrs. Buono and Mrs. Crocini, both of whom retired from Saint James School several years ago, returned to help and join in the fun (pictures below):
Reminder: SJS Toy Drive December 2nd – 20th
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolJust a reminder that the Saint James School student council is collecting toys for Community Partners in Action. Families helped by this organization have a particular need for Christmas presents for their children – these toys and gifts are greatly appreciated!
Between now and December 20th, each grade can help by bringing in the following:
Pre-Kindergarten: Toys for babies and toddlers
Grades K-3: toys for ages 3-8
Grades 4-6: toys for ages 8-12 (i.e. Nerf sports toys and arts/crafts kits are popular)
Grades 7-8: gift cards (i.e. Target, McDonalds, etc.), arts/crafts kits or other items appropriate for ages 13-14.

Reminder: Christmas Store Begins Tomorrow

Students will have an opportunity to purchase low cost items for anyone on their shopping list. All items are $2.00 or less. If you would like your child to purchase items at the Christmas Store, please remember to send them in with money tomorrow. There may be an additional opportunity to purchase items on Thursday depending on remaining inventory.

Middle School Winter Snowball Dance – This Friday
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolSt. Bridget’s is hosting their annual Winter Snowball Dance this Friday evening Dec. 13th from 7 to 10 pm. This is a semi formal dance. Girls are encouraged to wear skirts and dresses, no strapless or sleeveless tops are allowed. If your top is strapless or sleeveless a cover up will be required throughout the evening. Boys are encouraged to wear dress pants and a polo or button up shirt, please no jeans, T-shirts or sneakers, and as always no hats. Admission is $5 and must be accompanied by a completed permission slip, which can be downloaded here . We look forward to seeing everyone dressed in their finest this holiday season.
Christmas Movie/Pizza Party
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolChildren signed up to attend the event will be dismissed direct to the gym. We will have lunch followed by a movie/snacks and some crafts. Children can bring a sleeping bag or blanket to sit on while watching the movie.
**It’s still not too late to come. Extended deadline is Thursday.
