The school bus routes have been released for Manchester residents who requested bus transportation to and from SJS. Please use this LINK to check on your child’s bus stop (if your address doesn’t come up how you entered it, please use the scroll down list). If you cannot get your address to come up, please email Mrs. Sager at lsager@saintjamesschool.net.
Important Notes from the town:
➢ Students should arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes before departure time.
➢ Parent or guardian should arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes before scheduled drop off time. Pre-K through Grade 2 students must be released to a parent or guardian.
➢ Please remind your children of the importance of following bus safety rules.
➢ School buses are equipped with video surveillance for the safety of the students and the driver.
➢ No medications can be transported on the school bus with the exception of an epi-pen. The school bus driver will not administer any medication. Please make arrangements to bring any medications to the school nurse’s office.
➢ Due to the high volume of bus stop changes at the start of the school year, no changes will be made for the first two weeks of school.
XC Paperwork Due Tomorrow
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolThe Saint James School Cross Country Season will begin on Tuesday, September 4th with practice from 2:05pm – 3:30pm that day. A full schedule of practices and meets will be available shortly. If your child will be participating, please return the following to the school by Friday, August 28th (click links to download):
1) The XC Permission Slip
2) The $35 Sports Fee (Check Payable to Saint James School)
3) Athletics Health Form 2018-2019 (signed by your child’s doctor)
Please remember, students will not be allowed to practice unless these documents are all on file with the school and the sports fee is paid.

Office Hours Next Week

If you need to contact the office on Tuesday or Wednesday, please do so between 1:00pm – 3:00pm those two days. Medicine for students should be brought to the nurse on the first day of school.

Welcome Mrs. Simoncini
/in Uncategorized /by Saint James SchoolSaint James School is pleased to welcome Mrs. Deanna Simoncini as our new 6th Grade Home Room/Middle School Science Teacher.
Mrs. Simoncini comes to us with 10+ years of Middle School teaching experience, having taught Earth, Life, and Physical Sciences at a Catholic school in Georgia. Her husband’s job brought the family to Connecticut last year.
Mrs. Simoncini has a degree in Science Education from Florida State University. She also taught Middle School Math and various levels of Religion during her career, including 2nd grade and 4th grade faith formation within the Diocese of Atlanta.
In her free time Mrs. Simoncini spends time with her three children and husband. She also enjoys art, history, traveling to new places, hiking, and being part of both the Girl and Boy Scout programs.
She is excited about joining our Saint James School family and looks forward to meeting everyone next week.

The assignment and related information was sent to one email address per family. If your family does not receive their class assignment e-mail by 1:30pm, please e-mail aguenther@saintjamesschool.net.
Please note the email contains an online form for Photo Permissions and Emergency Contacts that needs to be completed ASAP and paperwork that needs to come to school with your child/ren on the first day.
