Soccer games this weekend will be as follows:

Varsity
St. John Paul II Blue vs St. James Pearl – 11:00am (Charter Oak Park Field 2)
St. James Cobalt vs St. Bridget – 11:00am (Charter Oak Park Field 3)

JV
St. Bridget vs. St James JV – 11:00am (Charter Oak Park Field 1)
St. Bridget vs. St. James JV – 11:45am (Charter Oak Park Field 4)

For this weekend’s games only, all the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade players will play as one team since so many players are unavailable due to vacation.  This is NO practice on Wednesday, April 17th and there are NO games on Saturday, April 20th.  Practice will resume on April 24th for 4th – 8th grade players not involved in band or choir (as we have our spring concert that evening).

New Virtue of the Month: Compassion

As you may recall, each month Saint James K – 8 students are studying a different virtue as part of their religion classes. Today during the Rosary, Mrs. Zorger recognized our students who best exemplified the virtue of Forgiveness during the month of March (picture below) and introduced the next virtue our students will study: Compassion.

 

SJS Water Bottles For Sale

Each year, the graduating class leaves a gift to the school to commemorate their years at SJS.

This year, the class of 2019 is hoping to donate money to purchase an Elkay water fountain/filtered bottle filling station which will be installed in our school’s gym.  Since the cost of this gift exceeds what the parents are able to raise on their own, the school has approved for our 8th graders to sell SJS Water Bottles to help make up the difference.

Some of our 8th grade students and parents will be selling these SJS reusable water bottles for $10.00 each at afternoon pick-up on Tuesday, April 9th (please make sure you put your child’s name on it after purchasing if they will be bringing it to school).  Please note there is a limited quantity available.

Due Wednesday: Mother/Daughter Tea
