Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Saint James School Families,

On behalf of the Saint James School staff and faculty, I want to wish all of our families a blessed Thanksgiving.  We are thankful for you and the support you give to our school community!

As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, let us be especially mindful of our many blessings.  Let us keep in our prayers those that may be facing hardship during this holiday and those who are serving our country and cannot be home with their families.

Enjoy the long holiday weekend with your family and friends and we will look forward to seeing you back at school on Monday, December 2nd.

Peace and blessings,

Mrs. Zorger

Maggie gathered 3 followed by Sarah with 2.  Charlotte and Sammy led the team with 3 assists each while Shreya, Angie, and Allie each added 1. Alyssa and Gabby led the team in rebounds pulling down 9 and 8 respectively. Charlotte contributed with 5.  Great defense by Allie with 5 steals followed by Angie’s 4. Good Luck to our Szopka Club!

This weekend, students participating in the Polish Nativity Castle (“Szopka”) Club will have their creations judged at the 39th annual Szopka competition at the Polish Cultural Club in Hartford.  The event will be held this coming Sunday and is open to the public if you would like to stop by.  Students, with much guidance from middle school teacher Mrs. Grondin, have put a lot of time and effort into making these beautiful palaces depicting the Holy Family and Baby Jesus.  We wish them the best of luck in the competition! For more information on the event, please click HERE.

Thanksgiving Mass

Our Kindergarten through 8th graders attended Mass at Saint James Church today in preparation for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Thank you to our 7th graders for hosting and to all our older students who served as “buddies” to the younger grades.

12:05pm Dismissal Tomorrow & Bus

As a reminder, tomorrow is a 12:05pm dismissal day.  We are off on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

As previously communicated, there is a change with the Manchester school bus schedule tomorrow (the bus will leave our school at 11:00am due to a conflict with the public school schedule).

If your child normally takes the school bus home, please make sure you remind them how they are getting home tomorrow (information submitted from parents through the Google form has already been passed along to the teachers).

If your child is going to AFTERCARE, please remember they will need a lunch from home.
