4th Grade Religion Fun

Yesterday, Mrs. Devanney’s 4th graders had fun studying for their religion test by playing “Stump the Shepard” in pairs on their Chromebooks.  This jeopardy-style game is used by many of the grades at SJS for religion-lesson review.

Last Call: Fall 2020 K- 8 Survey

Thank you to all our SJS families for your support and efforts to help us make this a great school year for our students!

As we head into the second half of the Fall trimester, we would like to take this opportunity to gather some general feedback from our K-8 parents/guardians regarding this school year.  Please take a few moments to answer the survey below for each child in your family (we request that only ONE parent/guardian per family complete the survey).

Please note, after the first question (Grade) there are two separate sections based on if your student is a REMOTE LEARNER or an IN-PERSON LEARNER this Fall.

Click HERE to Access the Survey

The survey will close Friday at 2:00pm.

School Pictures

For any families that ordered school pictures, please note that the individual portraits are being sent home with students today.  If you are unhappy with the pictures (or for students that were absent for picture day), please note that the retake day is Monday, November 30th.

For any families that ordered class pictures, there was a printing error impacting all grades so those will be sent home separately when we receive them.

For remote-learner students, pictures can be picked up with classroom materials this Friday afternoon.

SJS Children’s Mass This Sunday

This Sunday, October 11th at 9:00am, Saint James School will host our second children’s Mass of the new school year.  All Saint James School students and their parents are invited to attend in a show of support for our school!  One of our 6th grade students will be doing the readings.  Unfortunately, we won’t have students serving in other capacities at this time due to the current safety protocol.  Please remember masks are required in church.

Saint James School students are encouraged to wear their school uniforms.  This is a great way for the Saint James Church parishioners (many of whom very generously support our school) to see the exceptional students they are investing in.

All Saint James School families are welcome regardless of faith or home church.

No School This Monday 10/12

As a reminder, there is no school this coming Monday, October 12th, for the Columbus Day Holiday.  We also have 12:05pm dismissal days scheduled for October 21st (parent/teacher conferences), October 22nd (parent/teacher conferences), and October 23rd (teacher workshop).  Aftercare will be in session on the 21st-23rd.
