Wednesday: Come Join the (Planning) Fun!

The next meeting of the 2023 Saint James School Gala Planning Committee will be held this Wednesday – January 11th at 6:00pm – in the school cafeteria.

Several parents are already on board to chair the event this year but we will need lots of help with the various sub-committees.  Our next brainstorming and planning meeting will be combined with the HSA meeting for this month.  The Gala (which will be held April  29th and have a Roaring Twenties Theme this year) is always a blast and the planning is also a lot of fun.  We hope you can join us!

What is the Saint James School Gala?

The annual Saint James School Gala is our largest fundraiser of the year and a wonderful, adults-only social event for SJS families, alumni, and friends. Attendees have the option to participate in the live and/or silent auctions and bid on awesome prizes for their family and/or students.  The event also features food, dancing, and a whole lot of fun. This year the Gala will be held on April 29th at beautiful Cheney Hall.  More information will be sent out very soon!

SJS “CENT”ennial Challenge: Pre-K3 – Grade 8

IMPORTANT: Free Hot Lunch Expires 3/1

As previously noted, the town of Manchester has been utilizing its remaining grant funding to offer our K-8 students free hot lunch each day, regardless of their household income.  We were notified today that this funding will run out at the end of February.  Therefore, Effective March 1, 2023, any student who has not been approved by the town of Manchester to receive free or reduced priced meals will be charged the current school lunch price each time they purchase a meal.

Please take a moment over the next week or so to check on your child’s lunch account balance and add funds if you plan to have them continue ordering lunch from the school.

You can add money to your child’s account online (a convenience fee will apply) at https://www.ezschoolpay.com or by sending in cash or a check to the school (no fee).  The check must be made out to “Manchester Hot Lunch Program” and all funds should be in an envelope clearly labeled with the child’s name.  If you have not yet signed up for an EZSchoolPay Account and no longer have the email from SJS with your child’s hot lunch account number, you may email aguenther@saintjamesschool.net.

If you would like to apply for the free or reduced priced meal program for the remainder of the school year, this can also be done on the ezschoolpay website.  A hard copy of the free/reduced meal form can be found HERE.
