Deadline Monday: Ski/Snowboard Club

All families that completed our recent Ski/Snowboard Club interest form received an email on Tuesday with registration instructions.  If you have questions, please reach out to Amy Guenther at aguenther@saintjamesschool.net.  Monday is the deadline to turn everything in to the school to secure a spot. After that time, we will open up availability to those on the wait list.

Please note, any parents/adults that are going to attend with their students and/or chaperone are also eligible for the group rate and should sign up alongside their student on the Mt. Southington website using the codes provided in yesterday’s email.  Parents who will not be skiing (staying in the lodge) do NOT need to buy a ticket, just pay for bus transportation.

If your student is in 3rd – 8th grade and would like to be on the wait list to participate in this year’s ski/snowboard club, please complete this form and we will reach out next week if there is additional availability: https://forms.gle/zvZTbxGjLEYdstWG6

Wreaths

Thank you to everyone who picked up their Wreath orders yesterday afternoon or this morning in the SJS breezeway.  If you placed an order and have not yet picked yours up, please reach out to Patricia McCarthy at hsa@saintjamesschool.net to coordinate a pick-up time.

Can & Bottle Drive

Our local Knights of Columbus will be collecting refundable cans and bottles on Saturday, December 3, in the St. James church parking lot from 9 amnoon.  Donations help support our school and other missions of our Parish community.

Grade 4 STEM Club

Please note that next week’s 4th grade STEM Club is full.

Wreath Pick-up Tomorrow

For families that ordered wreaths through the HSA fundraiser, please note that pickup will take place tomorrow (Thursday) at the breezeway entrance between 1:45pm and 2:15pm.  For any families whose student will be in aftercare, the wreaths will be left for you to pick-up when you pick-up your student.  If you have any questions regarding this fundraiser, please reach out to parent volunteer Patricia McCarthy at hsa@saintjamesschool.net.  As always, we thank you for your support!

Extended Day Program Notice

To all Parents utilizing the SJS Extended Day (before/after school) program,

As of January 1, 2023, Saint James School will require all families that utilize the Extended Day Program to have the AUTOPAY feature enabled under the Incidental Billing section of FACTS.

If you are unsure if your Incidental Billing Autopay option is set up, please log in to your FACTS account and click on “Incidental Billing.”  If there is a button that says “Enroll in AutoPay” you need to set it up.

Please note, even though you may have the Autopay feature set up for your Tuition Account, you may not have it turned on for Incidental Billing (which is used for Extended Day payments).  Please check your account to avoid disruption to your Extended Day program usage.

For any questions, please contact our tuition manager, Denise Mayo, at dmayo@saintjamesschool.net.  Thank you.

Buses Tomorrow

As a reminder, we will be back to combined buses tomorrow as per the normal Wednesday bus schedule.

Middle School Dance Chaperones Still Needed

SJS will be hosting a “dressy” dance for Saint James and Saint Bridget 7th and 8th grade students on Friday December 16th from 7:00pm-9:30pm.  We are still in need volunteers to help chaperone the dance.  If you are able to help out, please contact Sean & Patricia McCarthy via call/text at 860-614-6870.  Permissions slips and additional details will be forthcoming shortly.  Thank you for helping us make this event fun for our students!
