It’s Time to Purchase Class Basket Raffle Tickets!

Ski Club Make Up Policy

For ski club members that were unable to attend on certain dates, the following make-up policy now applies:

Starting Monday Feb 26, missed dates can be made up any Monday – Friday evening (3:00pm – 8:00pm) – up through the end of the season.  Any lessons purchased unfortunately will be forfeited, but rental purchases will still be honored.  Please note, you do NOT need to go to guest services about the make up, participants should have their Blue Card in their pocket when they arrive and it will automatically work on the lifts for the appropriate number of makeup sessions.

Once the mountain closes for the 2023-2024 season, all unused tickets will be forfeited.

Also, if your student may participate in ski club again next year, please have them KEEP THEIR BLUE CARD.  The mountain said they may be able to reload them next year.

Show Your Stripes – Thursday – $1.00+ Dress Down

On Thursday February 29th, students and staff are invited to dress down in striped attire for $1.00+ donation (sent in with the student and given to the homeroom teacher on 2/29).  Money collected will be donated to the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORA).  Please note that tops and/or bottoms must have stripes and all standard dress down guidelines from our handbook apply.

A rare disorder is a disease or condition that affects fewer than 200,000 Americans. Cumulatively, there are more than 10,000 rare diseases affecting more than 30 million Americans. NORD is committed to the identification, treatment, and cure of rare diseases through education, advocacy, research, and service programs.

Please check totals carefully and include your child’s name/and homeroom teacher on all paperwork.

To help our fundraising efforts go even further, we hope you will share the link to our fundraising page with your family and friends!

If you would like to use a paper tally sheet to take orders before placing them online, you can find that here: Munson’s Tally Sheet

A printable version of items for sale and the costs can be viewed here: Munson’s Fundraiser Items

Orders will be ready for pick up in the gymnasium at dismissal on Tuesday, March 26th.  We will send a reminder in the email blast as we approach that date.

2024 Final Gala Baskets

Returning Student Registration

Thank you to all the families that completed the returning family registration process for the upcoming school year.  If you have not had an opportunity to finish the steps in the re-enrollment portal yet and your child/ren will be returning to SJS for Fall 2024, we ask that you do that over the weekend so we may plan accordingly (reach out to Amy Guenther with any questions).

We will be starting new student admissions screenings, visits, and registration next week. If you know of any families that are interested in learning more about Saint James School for Fall 2024, please have them reach out to Amy Guenther.

Ski Club Tomorrow (Friday)

As a reminder, our final Ski Club Trip is tomorrow (Friday, 2/23).

Please make sure your student has their blue Mt. Southington Ski Card in their ski jacket pocket before leaving the house tomorrow.  There is a $5 charge if they need to purchase a new one at the mountain.

For students taking the bus to Mount Southington, all of their ski/snowboard gear can be stored in the gym entrance until the end of the day.  Mrs. Guenther will open the GYM DOORS at 7:25am on Friday morning for you/your student to begin dropping items off.  Please do not unload skis/boards in the “drop and go” area unless it is before 7:30am.
