The SJS Family Pasta Dinner has been cancelled due to a low number of RSVPs.  We hope to try hosting this event again another time as it was such a huge success last year.

Congratulations to Darcy Donnelly and Heather Meyer, our Saint James School 2015 volunteers of the year.  Mrs. Donnelly and Mrs. Meyer will both be honored, along with other volunteers from throughout the Archdiocese of Hartford, at a special dinner tomorrow night at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington.  Thank you our 2015 volunteers of the year – and to all our volunteers – for everything you do for Saint James School!

Saber Stories November 2015

Please click here to view the roster for the boys 4th & 5th grade Basketball teams.  If your child is on the list and you have not sent in your $40.00 Basketball registration fee please send it in with your child by this Friday.

The first practice for all four teams will be Saturday November 7th as follows:

Coach Levin’s and Coach Williams’ teams from 9:00am to 10:30am;
Coaches Ghezzi/Tansil and Coaches Flores/Kalb from 10:30am to noon.

Parents are asked to e-mail their child’s coach(s) asap with their preferred e-mail address so the coaches can begin communicating with the team.

As you know, Saint James School is Accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges, a distinction that ensures a school maintains high academic standards. Every 10 years, schools must go through the Accreditation process to keep this distinction. For Saint James School, this will occur next week.

This coming Sunday, SJS staff will be welcoming a team of 7 peers, from other member schools, to Saint James for the Accreditation process.  This team will be with us through Wednesday, October 21^st, studying all aspects of our school including our curriculum, facility, processes, and communication, to name a few. They will be visiting classrooms and will be interviewing select staff, students, and parents.  The faculty and staff at Saint James School have been working on getting ready for the Accreditation team’s visit for well over a year.

Should your child(ren) come home and discuss visitors at the school next week, please know this is who they will be referring to.  Also, please take a moment to welcome members of the Accreditation team to our school should you see them at dropoff, pick-up, aftercare, etc.
