We were happy to receive such a great response from our parents and there was a lot of diverse feedback for the Strategic Planning Group to begin reviewing at their meeting last night.

The Knights of Columbus Council 1155 in Manchester is sponsoring its 4rd annual Hit, Pitch, & Run event to be held at Illing Middle School on May 4th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Registration is from 1:00pm – 1:30pm the day of. The competition is open to all boys and girls aged 7 through 14. Winners for Pitching, Hitting, & Running and the All-Around winner will advance to the next sectional level of competition with the potential final winners advancing to team championships at MLB ballparks and to National Finals at the 2019 MLB All-Star week.

Saint James School will host a dine-out night at BurgerFi in Manchester this evening, May 2nd, from 4:00pm – 8:00pm! Come in and grab a bite and 15% of your order will be donated back to Saint James School!
BurgerFi is located at 1062 Tolland Turnpike in Manchester in the same plaza as BJs Wholesale Club.

Congratulations to fifth grade for winning yesterday’s Box Tops contest with 461 Box Tops submitted! The students counted a total of 2,762 total Box Tops yesterday.
This year the school has earned over $1,700 from Box Tops!
Over the new few months, you will begin to see a new way to earn cash for Saint James School. A new and improved Box Top mobile app will be ready this summer. The new app will allow you to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to Saint James School’s earnings online.
We will be sending out more information over the summer as it becomes available. Meanwhile, please continue to clip Box Tops !

As a reminder for families with an incoming Kindergarten student for the 2019-2020 school year, our Kindergarten Orientation will be held on Monday, June 3rd at 1:00pm. All incoming Kindergarten students (and their parent/s) should plan to attend. The incoming Kindergarten students will receive their classroom assignment on this afternoon and visit the classroom while parents will hear a short presentation from the teachers and nurse about the daily schedule, uniforms, health information, etc.
A special invitation will be sent to all families with an incoming Kindergarten student closer to the date.
Please note, we are still accepting students for most grades for next year, including Kindergarten, so if you know someone interested please ask them to reach out to Amy Guenther at aguenther@saintjamesschool.net.
