Requested items include but are not limited to:
*Nail polish/Nail polish remover/Cotton balls
*Large print puzzle books (word search, word find)
*Bags of balloons
*Jelly window cling decorations
*Trinkets for BINGO (unisex)
*Lotion/Body spray
*Men’s items (body wash, cologne, shampoo)
Please note that Manchester Manor will NOT accept any powders, bar soap, or razors.
Thank you for any support you are able to provide.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 2/3, as part of our Catholic School’s Week celebrations, we will have a Blue & Gold/SJS Spiritwear Dress Down Day! Students should come to school dressed in blue & gold attire or wear their favorite SJS spiritwear shirt/sweatshirt.
Please remember, students must adhere to the all Saint James School dress down guidelines (noted in the school handbook), which includes no shorts from November to April Vacation and students wearing yoga pants/leggings must have on a top that comes down to mid-thigh or longer.

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in our proposed 5- week basketball clinic-style program for their 4th – 8th grade student(s). We had a tremendous amount of interest from all grades so we are excited to announce the clinics will run! Mr. Green will be reaching out to interested families and we will also put out a schedule sometime next week. If you have not signed your child up, please do so by 6:00pm this evening using the form below.

Please read the below letter from Mrs. Macy Jordan – the Religious Education Coordinator for Saint James – regarding the Sacraments of Baptism, 1st Penance, & 1st Eucharist. As noted in the letter, all Catholic second grade families will be receiving additional information regarding 1st Penance (via an email from Mrs. Jordan) in the weeks ahead.
The Archdiocesan Interscholastic Athletic Conference, the committee that oversees the athletic programs for the Archdiocese of Hartford’s elementary and middle schools, has decided to forego a winter sports season this year due to the pandemic.
We have, however, been given the go-ahead to offer a clinic-style Basketball program this year, allowing interested students in grades 4-8 the opportunity to develop their basketball skills alongside their classmates in a cohort-friendly atmosphere. Students participating would be kept with members of their grade (to maintain cohorts), masks would be worn during practices, and SJS Covid-safety protocol will be followed.
At this time, we are trying to get a feel for how many 4th – 8th grade students would be interested in participating in this program. If your child would be interested in participating in a free, 5 week clinic (meeting once a week) to work on basketball skills, please complete the form below by Friday, 1/29.
The AIAC is planning to reconvene in early March to discuss the Spring sports season.
With a chance of snow this afternoon into tomorrow morning, we wanted to remind families to sign up for text and/or email alerts for both “Manchester Public Schools” and “Saint James School – Manchester.” For your convenience, you can click HERE to sign up for alerts from NBC30 and/or HERE to sign up for alerts from WFSB Channel 3.
