Dismissal Reminders

A few reminders – please share with anyone that picks up your student:

1) No parking where there are any orange cones placed (or between cones). This is to help with traffic flow and visibility for our crossing guards.  The entire front of the school building AND one side of Otis are also off limits for parking for the same reasons.

2) Please cross at the crosswalk at all times.  Not only do we want to instill good safety habits with our students, but Park Street is way too busy at arrival and dismissal for families to be darting across.

Thank you!

Chromebook Reminder

Attention Middle School Parents,

Please remind your student that the only charging cable they are to use with their Chromebook is the one given to them at the beginning of school.  Already this year we have had multiple Chromebooks stop working because their batteries were damaged using a cable that was not meant for them.

The cable provided by the school has the precise Hz needed to charge the Chromebook battery safely.  Using a higher Hz charger can cause the battery to swell and overheat; if this occurs the Chromebook is not covered under the insurance and you will be charged for any damage that needed to repair it.

Thank you for your attention to this.

Grandparents’ Day at SJS

On Friday morning we hosted grandparents and other special guests of our K – 5th grade students for a fun morning of musical performances and classroom activities. We love this special tradition here at SJS!

12:05pm Dismissal Tomorrow

As a reminder, Saint James School will have an early dismissal tomorrow, Friday, October 18th (12:05pm).  Please make sure your student knows where they are going at the end of the day as teachers will be heading offsite for professional development immediately following dismissal.

Reminder: Attire for Tomorrow

All K-5th Grade students must wear their regular uniform on Friday as they will be performing for Grandparents’ Day.  Any 6th – 8th grade student performing in the Band at Friday’s event must also wear their regular uniform on this day.
