Manchester Little League Signups
Today, February 14th, is the deadline to register for Manchester Little League’s softball or baseball programs.
This program is open to residents of Manchester and Bolton AND Students enrolled in a school in Manchester school, which includes SJS.
Players must be 5 years of age on or before August 31st 2022 to be eligible to participate in the 2022 Little League season.

Today we are kicking off our Munson’s Chocolate Fundraiser, with delivery of goodies just in time for Easter.

Reminders For Next Week
Monday (2/14): $1.00 Valentine’s Day Dress Down
Saint James School will celebrate Valentine’s Day on Monday, February 14th with a $1.00 dress down day. Students may dress in Red, White, Purple, and/or Pink for a $1.00 donation. Money collected from this dress down day will be donated to the American Heart Association.
Thursday (2/17): Returning Family Registration Forms Due
For families with a student in our Pre-K3 through 7th grade, please ensure registration paperwork for next year is in by Thursday, 2/17 if your student(s) will be returning to SJS. New Family Registration will begin immediately following February Break. If you need another copy of the 2022-2033 Registration email or would like hard copies sent home with your student, please email aguenther@saintjamesschool.net

Friday (2/18): Mid-Winter Recess Begins
Saint James School will be closed on Friday (2/18) through Tuesday (2/22). School will resume on Wednesday, February 23rd.
March 18th
The Archdiocese of Hartford has announced that the annual Faith Formation Conference for all elementary educators will take place on Friday, March 18th. This date was originally noted as TBD on our 2021-2022 calendar. Please make a note that Saint James School will not be in session that day as our teachers will be offsite attending the conference.
Attention Grade 6 Families
The State of CT requires all 6th grade students have an updated Health Assessment form, signed by the child’s pediatrician, on file with the school nurse prior to the start of their 7th grade year. If your child is currently in 6th grade, please reach out to Mrs. Vignati by phone at your earliest convenience (860.643.5088) to discuss paperwork needs for Fall 2022.
Saturday: Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest
As a reminder, the Knights of Columbus Council 1155 and Council 573 of Manchester will hold their separate annual Free Throw Contests for boys & girls Ages 9-14 on 2/12/22, Saturday, at St. James School gym in Manchester. Registration is at 12:00 PM and contest is between 12:30 PM and 3 PM. The event is open to boys and girls ages 9 through 14. Please print a Registration form HERE and bring it to the event (must be signed by a parent/guardian and the entrant). Entrants must be accompanied by an adult.
