Saint James School’s Girl Scout Troop, comprised of SJS Kindergarten and 1st grade girls, will be selling Girl Scout Cookies at dismissal this coming Friday, April 22nd. This will be their last booth at pick-up; however, families can still order cookies through their website until May 7 for school delivery/drop off. The cafeteria would like to inform families that this coming Monday students ordering a Bagel Plate will receive a Blueberry bagel and on Tuesday they will receive a Cinnamon Raisin bagel.

Beautiful, whimsical, and inspirational works of art from our Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade Students

Hello Saint James School Families!
On May 10th we will be having a luncheon to show our staff just how much we appreciate them! We are planning to have this catered and would also love to offer a small token of appreciation. This is an HSA event and we are asking for donations to help fund this. Any amount will be helpful and much appreciated! Saint James School will host an online auction fundraiser (in place of the annual Gala/Soiree) on May 11th through May 12. There will be a STEM Club for 2nd graders on Monday, April 25. If your child is interested, please complete the permission form below.
We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Zimmerman has graciously stepped up to host a Father/Daughter dance this year! For our families with girls, please mark your calendar for Saturday, May 21st (event will be in the early evening, time TBA).
We also are excited to announce that we have parent volunteers who are organizing a Mother/Daughter Tea (thank you Mrs. Howard) and a Father/Son Event (thank you Mrs. Miller). Dates on those will be forthcoming.
We did not have a chair for a mother/son event so that event will not be held this year but hopefully we can get it back on the schedule for next year.
There were an excessive number of late arrivals prior to break (often the same students), so we are asking for our parents to help get these child/ren back on schedule. Late arrivals are disruptive to the teacher, morning announcements, and the classroom routine. Planning to be punctual is also an important skill that will benefit your child/ren in all stages of their academic and professional career.
If you find yourself not making it to school between 7:30am and 7:50am, please take a few moments today to talk to your child/ren about the importance of being on time and help them readjust their morning schedule accordingly.
We are looking forward the 2022 Saint James School Soccer season, which will begins this Wednesday. If your child will be playing, please note the following:
Grades 3 – 5 (JV) will practice on Wednesday evenings at the Charter Oak Soccer Fields from 5:00pm – 6:30pm;
Grades 6 – 8 (Varsity) will practice on Wednesday evenings at the Charter Oak Soccer Fields from 6:00pm – 7:30pm;
Games will typically take place on Saturday mornings at this same location. A full game schedule will be forthcoming.
Weather permitting, the first game will be this Saturday, April 23rd.
* Players that have tested positive for Covid must complete their full quarantine AND get a signed doctor’s note before they can return to play (practice and games).
* Players also cannot participate in practice or games if they are quarantining due to exposure, symptoms, etc.
The Saint James School Art Show on 4/20 will run from 5:00pm – 7:30pm, so that soccer families can drop by either before their practice (varsity) or after (JV).
Uniform shirts will be handed out at the first practice and do need to be returned at the end of the season. Players should wear their SJS gym shorts to games with their Soccer shirt.
