Yesterday our 2nd graders participated in the much-loved, long-standing tradition of making gingerbread houses to bring home for Christmas. They also learned about the history of gingerbread and made a “blueprint” of their house before they started building. Great job Sabers!!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2023 Saint James School Tree of Blessings. This morning, immediately following our 3rd week of Advent prayer service, members of the 8th grade class led the ceremony to honor and pray for the individuals listed on each ornament.
Last night our varsity boys and girls basketball teams played their first game of the season at our home gym. The boys defeated Emmanuel Christian School while the girls lost to St. Timothy. Both teams looked strong last night; we are excited for a great season!
Our art teacher, Mrs. Rafferty, has been working on some fun Christmas-themed art projects with students this month. Check out these fun cars packed with presents our 3rd graders drew and painted.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our $1.00+ PJ/Comfy Clothes dress down today! Together we raised over $900 for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Great job Sabers!
In keeping with tradition, our Pre-Kindergarten through 3rd Grade students left one shoe outside their classroom this morning in celebration of St. Nicholas Day (Feast Day of St. Nicholas). More commonly observed in Northern Europe, St. Nicholas Day
This morning our students each wrote one thing they were thankful for and placed it in a basket at the start of today’s prayer service. During the ceremony, Father Jaime offered our “thankful thoughts” to God as a symbol of our appreciation for His love and guidance.
