Soccer Update: Practice Cancelled For 3rd-5th, Still on For 6th-8th

St. James Soccer Update  Week of April 3rd – 6th

St. James Soccer practice was scheduled to start for all players tomorrow, April 3. Given the predicted wind chills in the upper 30’s, we have decided to cancel the practice for the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. A short practice will be held for the 6th, 7th and 8th graders. This is to allow the players to meet the coaches and for us to distribute Jerseys. Practice will start at 6:00 pm and we will be finished by 7:00 pm.

The first games for the 6th, 7th and 8th graders will be on this Saturday April 6th. A final schedule of the times of the game times is forthcoming. The first games for the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders will be on Saturday April 13th. This schedule is not final.

Please contact Jon Sargent with any questions at sjssoccer@charter.net.

Also, If you wanted to coach soccer (or do other volunteer work at the school) but have not yet completed the Virtus Training,  there is a session on April 25 (6:30 pm – 9:00 pm) at St. James.

Important: Chaperones Needed For Friday’s Dance

To date, we do not have enough volunteers to chaperone Friday’s Bring-A-Friend Dance hosted by Saint James. Please contact Nancy Brennan (nd.brennan@snet.net) to volunteer. Sadly, if we do not have enough chaperones, the dance will be canceled.  Thank you for your consideration.

Reminder: Yankee Candle Order Pick-Up Today 12:30-2:30pm

Just a reminder that Yankee Candle orders will be available for pick-up in the breezeway today from 12:30pm – 2:30pm.  Please note the items are breakable and packaged in boxes (some quite large) so most will not be able to go home with a child on the bus.  If your child goes to aftercare, you can get your order when you arrive this afternoon.  If you have not already picked up your Munson’s order, that will be available in the breezeway as well.

If you have any questions  please e-mail Mary Ann Creamer at margy@att.com or call/text 860.643.1448.

Thank you again for your support of Saint James School!
