Last Call For Father/Daughter Dance RSVPS

Tomorrow morning is the last day to RSVP for this Saturday’s Father/Daughter Dance.  Tickets for families that have sent in their forms will be sent home with students tomorrow.

Spring Concert Tomorrow

This Wednesday (5/7) is the annual Saint James School spring concert.  For the evening performance, band performers should arrive at 6:00pm and meet in the cafeteria.  Attire for band students for the evening performance is a white button down shirt with collar and black pants or black skirt.  Skirts must be below the knee.  Also, no high-heals please.

Third grade students performing with their recorders should meet in the gym (by the stage) by 6:15pm.  Attire for recorder performers for the evening performance is “Sunday best” as follows: Boys – Khakis or dress pants, buttoned down shirt or polo, nice shoes; Girls – Dress, Skirt and blouse, dress pants, khakis, nice shoes.  No jeans or sneakers.

All students should wear their school uniform for the daytime (during school hours) performance.

Art Show

Today our Pre-K through 8th grade classes each had a chance to stop by the Art Show in the gym to admire some of the amazing works of art created by Saint James School students this year.  We hope to see students and parents back tonight for the Art Show and Ice Cream Social with ice cream treats provided by our wonderful friends at Highland Park Market.  Below are some pictures of the students from this morning.

Soccer Practice Cancelled For This Evening

Due to the weather, all SJS soccer practices have been cancelled for this evening.

Reminder: First Communion Rehearsals Tonight/Tomorrow Night

Just a reminder for parents and students making their first communion at Saint James Church this weekend.  For those students who will attend the 10:00 am Mass on Saturday, May 3, 2014, rehearsal is tonight (Monday, April 28, 2014), at 6:00 pm at the church.

 

For those students who will attend the 12:00 pm Mass on Saturday, May 3, 2014, rehearsal is tomorrow evening (Tuesday, April 29, 2014), at 6:00 pm at the church.

 

Please have your child bring their banner to the rehearsal. Dowels, tacks and string will be available for those who did not receive it at the parent’s meeting.  Also, white ties for the boys will be given out at the rehearsal.

 

If you have not already paid your $8.00 for the banner, please put your child’s name on the check or if paying by cash, please place the money in an envelope with your child’s name on it and bring it with you to the church tonight.

Art Show/Subway Dine Out Night – This Wednesday

Stop by the Hartford Road Subway restaurant for dinner (5:00pm to 8:00pm) this Wednesday, April 30th and 20% of your purchase will be donated back to Saint James School (flyer below must be presented).  This Wednesday is also the night of the Saint James School Art Show (6:30pm to 8:00pm), so make a fun night of it and grab dinner at Subway before heading over to the school!
