Last Day: Friday
As a reminder, our last day of school is this Friday, June 16th. Both Thursday and Friday of this week are 12:05pm dismissal days. If your child is going to aftercare on either/both days, they will need a lunch from home as no lunch is served on early dismissal days.
Kindergarten Graduation
Congratulations to all our Kindergarten Graduates! Attached is a (slightly edited) video of the kids performances. Please note, we edited out the part with the children’s names (the diplomas) for privacy purposes.
Cross Country
Parents of students entering grades 5 – 8 next year that may be interested in running cross country, please read the attached notice from Coach O’Neill. Cross Country practice begins very quickly after school is back in session, so please ensure that you have a copy of the sports health form ready by the first day of school.

8th Grade Team Wins Varsity Playoffs
Congratulations to the 8th grade varsity soccer team, for finishing their regular season undefeated as well as winning the league championships this past weekend!!
Playoff game one was against St. Gabriel’s, defending champions from last year. Saint James came out strong ending the first half 3-0 and dominating the game until the end with a 4-0 win.
The Championship game was against Corpus Christi who beat St John Paul in a close 2-1 victory earlier that morning. SJS defeated Corpus in an intense, well played game ending in a score of 2-1. The team closed out the season as undefeated Champions, bringing home 2 more trophies for our school.
Phenomenal effort was shown by everyone on and off the field. Alec Bairos led the team with 4 of the 6 goals scored in the tournament, with assistance from Asrar Hossain. A special acknowledgement also to the team’s goal keepers Dominic Cavallo and Kyle Pelletier for making some tremendous saves in both games to secure the victory.
Mixed Bag Order Pick Up Tomorrow
Mixed Bag fundraiser orders will be available TOMORROW (Tuesday, June 13) in the school breezeway. Please make arrangements to pick up your order tomorrow during morning drop-off or afternoon pick-up. Saint James School Mass This Sunday
On Sunday, June 11th at 9:00am, Saint James School will host a special Mass with students serving as readers, ushers, and gift bearers. All Saint James School students and their parents are invited to attend in a show of support for our school! In addition, there will be coffee & donuts offered in the church hall after the Mass.
Saint James School students are encouraged to wear their school uniforms (all students serving in any capacity must wear their SJS winter uniform). This is a great way for the Saint James Church parishioners (many of whom very generously support our school) to see the exceptional students they are investing in.
All Saint James School families are welcome regardless of faith or home church.
