Tomorrow’s Buses

Due to the 12:05pm dismissal tomorrow (Wednesday) we WILL have all of our buses (instead of the typical combined Wednesday routes).  Please be sure you communicate to your child and their teacher how your student will be getting home tomorrow if this presents a change from normal Wednesday dismissal plans.

Last Call: Grandparents’ Day RSVPs

Saint James School is excited to celebrate and honor the Grandparents of our Kindergarten – 5th Grade students on October 27th!  Please use the link below to review all the details and complete the RSVP form by Wednesday, October 18th.

While grandparents are our intended special guests for this day, if your K – 5 child does not have a grandparent that is able to join us, a special guest (NOT an SJS parent) is welcome to attend in place of the grandparents.

Reminder: 12:05pm Dismissals Wed/Thurs

As a reminder, this Wednesday and Thursday SJS will have 12:05pm dismissal days for parent/teacher conferences.  Aftercare will be in session on both days, please remember K-8 students going to aftercare will need a lunch from home (Pre-K students always bring lunch on early dismissal days).

Manchester Fire Dept Visit

Yesterday our younger students met some real-life heroes as members of the Manchester Fire Department joined us to speak about fire safety. In keeping with tradition, all of our Pre-K students (and a few older students) also had the opportunity to try out

This Saturday! Trunk or Treat/Fall Festival

We have been keeping a close eye on the weather for Saturday afternoon and have decided our Trunk or Treat/Fall Festival Event WILL go on as planned for this Saturday.  Hopefully the rain will stay away as they are now forecasting.

Here are a few notes for Saturday’s event:

* For families decorating a trunk, THANK YOU!!  Please be sure to arrive between 12:30pm and 12:45pm (an event volunteer will show you where to park).  Please bring candy for approximately 180 children.

* All other attendees, please check in at the table in front of the school NO EARLIER thank 1:00pm.  Everyone will get a stamp on their hand when they enter to be able to participate in the activities.

* If your family would still like to attend but missed the initial sign-up, we have reopened the RSVP form (<— click to open) – please RSVP today and send your $20 payment with your student tomorrow.

* Please remember to bring cash for other items not included in admission fee that you may wish to enjoy:  the pick-a-pumpkin patch, Kona Ice truck, Highland Park Market food truck.

Due Tomorrow: SJS Basketball Sign-Ups

The Saint James School 2023-2024 Basketball season will begin in early November.  Basketball is open to students in 4th – 8th grade.  Students interested in playing must submit the following to the main office by tomorrow, Friday, October 13th.  Please note, this is a hard deadline.  We cannot guarantee spots on the team for late submissions.

Also, in order to participate, students must have their 2023-2024 Athletics Health Permission Form (signed by their doctor) on file with the school.  This can be submitted after 10/13, but students will NOT be able to participate in any practices, etc. until this form is on file with us. (Students running Cross Country for SJS do NOT need to submit a new form).
