Towards the end of last week parents should have received a note home from Mrs. Kanute asking for the names of friends, acquaintances, and/or other family members who may be interested in learning about Saint James School’s Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade programs. We also have Open House Post Cards available in the main office that you can pick up to hand deliver.
We are currently conducting tours and accepting applications for new families for the 2014-2015 school year. Acceptance letters for new families will begin going out in a couple of weeks and open spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis after that point. Please encourage interested families to call the office to schedule a visit or to attend our April 3rd open house.

The main intentions will be for: Peace throughout the world; continued Blessings upon the USA; our families; and any special intentions that students bring to the service. We also welcome any parents who would like to join us in prayer.

St. Patrick's Day (Monday) $1 Green & White Dress Down
/in St. James Notices /by jonesenThis coming Monday, March 17th, students may dress down in Green & White for a $1.00 donation. There will be a St. Patrick’s Day celebration after lunch including an Irish Step Dancing performance by several of our Saint James School students.

/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolMrs. Kanute would like to inform parents that if there is a delayed opening tomorrow (Thursday) due to weather, the day will be switched to a FULL DAY with 2:05pm dismissal (instead of 12:05pm).
If there is not a delayed opening, the scheduled 12:05pm dismissal will remain in place.
Important: Please note, if there is a delayed opening and school is extended to 2:05pm, all students will need to bring lunch and a drink from home. There will not be hot lunch or milk available.

Reminder: Read To Achieve Ticket Orders Due Thursday
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolJust a reminder that if your child reached their reading goal for Read To Achieve, they should have received a ticket order sheet home in their school folder last week, noting the awarded Free ticket. If you will be attending the game (March 21, 2014 @ 7:00 pm), please note, orders are due back This Thursday (March 13th).
Tickets to the game will be sent home with your child(ren) in their folder next Wednesday (March 19th).
Ski Club Invites Non-Club Members to Last Ski/Board Trip on Friday, March 14th
/in St. James Notices /by Saint James SchoolThe SJS Ski/Boarding Club cordially invites any SJS students/parents interested in joining the club next year or any SJS students/parents that would simply like to ski for the afternoon to attend our final trip on Friday, March 14th from 2:00pm-8:00pm (bus arrives back at SJS at 8:00 p.m.) at Mt. Southington. The cost is $20 for the bus ride and $25 for a lift ticket (this is the discounted group rate). Students must be in grades 3-8. Students in grades 3 and 4 must have a parent or guardian present with them on the trip.
