The Light is on for You!

During lent St. James Church is happy to participate in “The Light is on for You” Campaign. St. James Church will be open for confession every Monday night from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Please consider stopping by. If you don’t remember how to go to confession, that is no problem simply tell Father and he will help you along. If you prefer to go to a different Church that is ok too, EVERY Church in the Archdiocese will be open for confession tonight from 6:00pm-7:00pm and every subsequent Monday night for the remainder of lent.

A reminder that returning family registration forms (and deposit) are due to the school by this Friday, February 27th.

 

Gala Invites

RSVP Deadline Extended to Tomorrow: SJS Fun Day at Jumpin Jonnies – 2/19

Looking for something fun to do with your little ones over February Vacation?  The Saint James School HSA is hosting a private party/fundraiser on 2/19 for SJS families at Jumpin Jonnies in Vernon between the hours of 10:00am-12:00pm.  The cost is $12 per child for bouncing, a slice of pizza, and a drink – and 25% of the proceeds from the event go back to Saint James School.

Celebrate Saint James School at the 2015 SJS Gala & Auction!

Please join us for an evening of fun as we celebrate and support Saint James School at the 2015 SJS Gala & Auction.  This year’s Gala will be held on Saturday, March 7th at Georgina’s Restaurant in Bolton.  Among the numerous items up for auction will be:

 

  • Reserved Seating at various school functions;
  • 2 Premium Seating Tickets for the August 15th Lady Antebellum/Hunter Hayes/Sam Hunt concert (Hartford Meadows), plus a Meet and Greet with Hunter Hayes and a special “swag” bag;
  • Father Casey, Mrs. Vassallo, and Mrs. Camposeo will come to your kitchen and cook an authentic Roman pasta dinner for 10. Saint James Church will be hosting this special study of the Mass on Wednesday mornings beginning Feb. 25th from 9:00am – 10:30am.  The program will run for 5 consecutive weeks.  The cost is $20 which includes the book, “A Biblical Walk Through the Mass” and a study guide.  Scholarships for the course are available if needed.  To register, or if you have questions about the course, please call Cindy Herr at 860.436.4645 or email cynthherr5@gmail.com.

Important: Change to March School Calendar

Please be advised of a change to our March school calendar.  Saint James School will be CLOSED on March 11th (instead of a half day).  A letter from Mrs. Kanute concerning this change was sent home on Friday with students or should be in their school folder today.

 

 

 

Reminder for Tonight's Middle School Dance

Just a reminder that since our school is hosting tonight’s middle school dance, Saint James School 6th and 7th graders are asked to bring wrapped snacks to share and Saint James School 8th graders are each asked to bring a gallon of bottled water.
