Participants are asked to submit an entry based on specific grade-level topics. Students can submit an original essay, video or artwork (painting/drawing or illustration):
K-4th grade: What is something you could do to make your community or neighborhood better?
5th-8th grade: What is something you could do to help make the lives of others better?
3 Grand Prize winners receive $20,000 (one student from each age group), 24 winners receive $6,000 (eight students per age group), 336 winners receive $500 (112 students per age group), and 10 randomly selected participating schools will win $7,500 in tech equipment
Cherrydale Ticket Turn-in Tomorrow

Students who have achieved additional tickets during the past week (or those who forgot them last Friday) should bring any applicable tickets (signed by the parent/guardian) to school tomorrow in a baggie or envelope. Please be sure to label that with your child’s name.

MAP Testing Starts Tomorrow
/in Uncategorized /by Saint James SchoolPlease note that SJS 3rd – 8th grade students will take the first round of MAP Adaptive Assessments first thing in the morning tomorrow – Tuesday, September 12th. Testing will also occur on Tuesday, September 19th and Tuesday, September 26th.
Please pay particular attention to ensuring your child/ren get to bed on time the evening before each testing day and that they have a nutritious breakfast each morning. Also, it is important that students get to school on time each day as testing will begin right after morning announcements.
Any student coming in tardy on a testing day will have to wait in the office until the testing period is over and will have to make up that test at another time.
For middle school students – please make sure your child comes to school with their Chromebook fully charged tomorrow!!
