Lucky Taco Dine-Out Today!

Take a night off from cooking, check out an awesome family-owned restaurant in our community, and support Saint James School – all at the same time!  All day today –  Thursday, October 5 – Lucky Taco (829 Main Street, Manchester) will donate 10% of sales back to Saint James School (take-out or dine-in both apply).

With its super-close proximity SJS, consider grabbing something from Lucky Taco for an after-school snack (or to reheat for dinner later), or to simply have a great meal after picking your child(ren) up from extended day.

All orders, all day long – both food and beverages – will be part of the 10% donated to Saint James School (no flyer is needed)!

Attention 8th Grade Parents

This morning your child received their school-issued Chromebook.  Each Chromebook has a specific serial number assigned to your child.

Students had a short amount of time this morning to log into their computer; some may also opt to bring them home today to begin familiarizing themselves with how to navigate the various programs.

We ask that all 8th grade parents take some time this evening to speak with your child about the conduct agreement that they (and you – as their parent/guardian) signed at the beginning of the school year.  We also suggest another review of the Chromebook rules we discussed at the parent meeting (i.e. Chromebooks must come to school charged each day, be cared for appropriately at home, used for school-related purposes only, etc.).

Similarly, if you have not already done so, you should remind your child that teachers, administration, and other faculty members will be monitoring their Chromebook activity (both in and out of school) and will receive alerts if a student tries to utilize this school-issued tool in a manner inconsistent with our policies.  Please know, there will be serious consequences for students who chose not to comply with the agreed-upon technology rules.

Lastly, if you have not turned in your Chromebook insurance form, we suggest you send that in with your child tomorrow.

Thank you for your support in helping us ensure our students are well-prepared for success in high school and beyond.

7th and 6th grade students will be receiving their Chromebooks in a couple of weeks after our 8th grader students are fully up and running.

Please note, you do not need to be a member of Saint James Church or even a member of the Catholic faith to attend any Saint James School Masses.
