Delayed Opening Reminders

As today ended up being our first delayed opening of the year, we wanted to share a few reminders:

** This year you are looking for St. Teresa of Calcutta Church on the television instead of Saint James School.  This will indicate that both our parish schools are closed, delayed, or dismissing early.  These notices are being posted on channel 3 (WFSB).

** You should have received a text message from our FACTS Emergency Alert System indicating that school was delayed.  If you did not receive this notification, please reply to this email with your cell phone number so we can ensure your number is correct.

** Saint James School follows what Manchester Public Schools does with respect to weather-related delayed openings, closures, and dismissals.  If you see MPS on the television, a text message from the school and the notice on WFSB should follow shortly.

** When there is a delayed opening, the AM Preschool Programs (only) are cancelled for that day.

Crazy 8s Math Club is this is not your average math club – there will be fun hands on activities and weekly themes include Neon Geometry, Toilet Paper Olympics, Funny Money, and Spy Training.  The club will be held on Wednesdays after school (until 3:00pm) and will run for 8 weeks starting on 1/8.  Space is limited to 16 spots.  Please use the link below to sign your student up if they would like to participate.  Activity fee is $25.  If your student is one of the first 16 spots, please send payment to the SJS main office by Wednesday 12/18.  Make sure to note which student you are paying for and put Crazy 8s Club on the envelope.  Checks can be made out to St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish (note SJS Crazy 8s in the memo field).
