Merry Christmas

Today our Kindergarten students joined us at Mass for the first time (great job 5th graders as their buddies!!) and we had an extra special guest visit us today!  Merry Christmas!

Tomorrow: 11:00am Dismissal

Please remember that Friday’s dismissal will be at 11:00am.  We will have our buses at 11:00am on Friday and aftercare will be in session beginning at 11:00am.  Students going to aftercare will need a lunch from home.

Friday: Red & Green SHIRT Day

On Friday, December 22nd, students are welcome to wear a Red, Green, or Christmas-themed SHIRT to school with their standard Friday uniform bottoms.  Please remember standard dress down guidelines from page 11 of the Parent Student Handbook apply.

2nd Grade Gingerbread Houses

Yesterday our 2nd graders participated in the much-loved, long-standing tradition of making gingerbread houses to bring home for Christmas. They also learned about the history of gingerbread and made a “blueprint” of their house before they started building. Great job Sabers!!

New: Art Club for Gr. 4-6

We are excited to announce another extracurricular activity has been added for students in grades 4 – 6.  Fifth grade teacher Mrs. Simoncini will be hosting an after school Art Club, meeting every other Thursday after school until 3:15pm.  The club will start on January 11th and run through May.  Each month, participants will explore/utilize different mediums to create their works of art.  The Cost is $50 per student for the club to purchase supplies.  Parents/guardians must use THIS LINK to sign their student up.  Payment (cash or check) is due to the SJS main office by Friday, December 22nd (please label envelope with “Art Club” and be sure to list student’s name and homeroom teacher).  Checks should be made out to Saint James School.
