Attention Cross Country Runners

As a reminder, our cross country team will have their first meet of the season (since last week’s Illing meet was rained out) at Vernon Center Middle School on Thursday, October 14th.  Parents should have their runner at the school for 3:15pm to stretch and walk the course with Coach O’Neill.

The Saint James School Scarecrow is up on Main Street!  This year the town requested that Scarecrows be designed with the theme “Undercover Heroes” in mind, and we – of course – wanted to recognize/honor one of our favorites – our teachers!  (Please note, as of this posting, there was a delay in the town opening the voting links.  When it opens, you will be able to vote for Saint James School’s Scarecrow by using this link: Saint James School Scarecrow Page).

Saint James School Foundation Golf Tournament Thank You!

A HUGE Thank You to everyone who came out to support the Saint James School Foundation’s 27th Annual Golf Event last Thursday!  We are extremely fortunate to have such a supportive community here at Saint James School – with numerous SJS parents, alumni, and alumni families all coming together for a fun day of golf, a delicious dinner, and raising money for the Foundation.

Kindergarten Intro to Coding

During their weekly STREAM special, Kindergarten students have been learning very basic coding skills, which – today – involved using our fun Code-A-pillar robots and the Code-a-pillar Application on their school-issued iPads. Great work Sabers!!

Book Fair Update

A huge thank you to all the families that shopped at our 2021 Scholastic Book Fair!  Together we raised approximately $5,000 for our school library and our classrooms!!  We are so grateful for the support!

AND, we are excited to announce that 4th Grade won the Extra Change Dress Down Day Contest (note: 4th grade teachers will let their students know which day the dress down will occur).  The book raffle winners and free poster winners were also announced (over the intercom) this afternoon by Mrs. Zorger.

If you did not have a chance to order books and would like to do so (or would like to purchase additional items), our ONLINE ORDERING LINK (click to open) will be active until October 17th.

We would like to once again thank Mrs. Poth for volunteering to chair this event for us, and for all the time and energy she put into making it a huge success.  And, of course, all the parent and grandparent volunteers who helped with setup and running our book fair this week – Thank You!!
