Tonight: Hour of Code

This evening (Tuesday, December 7th) at 7:00pm, SJS families are invited to join in NATIONAL FAMILY CODE NIGHT. This event is a virtual event geared toward families with children in Kindergarten to Grade 5 and hosted by CS is Elementary. It is a one-hour live stream where parents and children can learn to code together! No coding experience is necessary to participate.

One lucky family will win a special prize drawing for Dash’s Neighborhood, a robotics virtual playground from Wonder Workshop, makers of Dash the Robot. And everyone gets a Code@Home Guide, full of free coding games and activities.

3rd Grade Ice Cream Cake Slice Sculptures

During their art class on Friday, 3rd graders used the dab-and-fold method with markers and model magic to create fun colors for their five-layer ice cream cake slice sculptures.  These unique creations will be glazed and saved for display in the Spring art show.  Great job Sabers!

Trimester I Ends Tomorrow

As a reminder, the first trimester ends tomorrow (Friday, December 3rd).  Report cards will be sent home with students on Friday, December 10th.

Tomorrow! Wreath Pick-Up Details

Thank you to everyone who ordered Wreaths through our Christmas Wreath Fundraiser.  Wreaths will be available for pick-up tomorrow THURSDAY, December 2nd outside the breezeway at morning arrival and afternoon dismissal.  If you need to coordinate a different pick-up time, please reach out to parent volunteer Jodi Talaga at hsa@saintjamesschool.net.
