We are excited to welcome the grandparents/special guests of our Kindergarten – 5th Grade students to Saint James School tomorrow! RSVP lists have been given to the teachers, along with dismissal and lunch information information.
If your child will have a grandparent visiting on Friday, here are some reminders to pass along to visitors:
Guest Arrival
We will welcome all visitors with a special program in the Gym starting at 10:00am (all guests will enter through the Gym doors, which will be open starting at 9:45am). Coffee and light refreshments will be available for guests. After the program, visitors will be guided to the classrooms to enjoy a special activity with their grandchildren. Please make sure visitor(s) know which teacher your child has.
Parking
Parking can occur in the same areas as afternoon dismissal, including the St. James Church parking lot. The large parking lot between the Pre-K and main school buildings will also be opened for parking at 9:40am (the lot will be coned off until 9:40am as classes will be outside for gym class). Cars parking in this lot should only be guests leaving before our 12:05pm dismissal time.
Reminder: Attire for Tomorrow

IMPORTANT: Parent/Teacher Conferences
/in Uncategorized /by Saint James SchoolSaint James School will have early dismissal on Wednesday and Thursday of next week for parent/teacher conferences. A Fall conferences are required for every student to allow for discussion of progress during the first trimester and goal setting for the remainder of the year. If you have not yet signed up, you can do so HERE.

Mass Today

/in Uncategorized /by Saint James SchoolSaint Bridget School will host a dance for grades 7 & 8 THIS Friday (October 18th) – from 7:00pm -9:30pm.
If your student is attending, please remember to consult the dress code requirements on the permission slip. No exceptions will be made.
An adult will be required to sign students into the dance and then again out of the dance, promptly at 9:30pm.
No Cell Phones are permitted at the dance.
Students should bring to the dance:
1) A signed permission slip (given to students today or tomorrow at school);
2) A $5.00 admittance fee per student;

Thursday (10/17)
All 1st – 8th Grade students must be in their regular uniform tomorrow as we will attend Mass at Saint James Church (i.e. no gym uniforms, tan shorts are fine). Students that usually have gym on Thursdays may, however, wear their sneakers with their regular uniform.
Friday (10/18)
All K-5th Grade students must wear their regular uniform on Friday as they will be performing for Grandparents’ Day. Any 6th – 8th grade student performing in the Band at Friday’s event must also wear their regular uniform on this day.
East Catholic Open House Tomorrow Night

In keeping with tradition, all of our Pre-K students – and several older students – also had the opportunity to try out the fire hose (a few are pictured below).
