Due Monday: SJS National STEM Day Challenge

Monday, November 8 is National STEM Day.  To celebrate, we invite you to join in a Family STEM Challenge!  Students in the winning family will receive a special after-school STEM Club session with Mrs. Poth for themselves and a few friends.

1st Grade STEM Club

A STEM Club session will be held after school on Tuesday, November 9 for students in 1st grade.  If your child would like to attend, please fill out the Permission Form below.  There are a limited number of spaces so students will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

Saint James School has 50 assembled Brian Bags in the main office for any SJS families that are willing to distribute to members of the homeless community they might encounter in their daily travels.  If you would like a bag – or a few bags – sent home with your student(s) please send a note to their teacher(s).

Last Call: 2021-2022 Basketball Information & Sign Up

The Saint James School 2021-2022 Basketball season will begin in early November.  Basketball is open to students in 4th – 8th grade.  Students interested in playing must submit the following to the main office by Wednesday, November 3rd so we can get a headcount and start forming teams.  Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee spots on a team for late submissions.

1. Basketball Permission Slip 2021-2022

2. Appropriate Activity Fee

3. Completed SJS Character Contract

Also, in order to participate, students must have their 2021-2022 Athletics Health Permission Form (signed by their doctor) on file with the school.  This can be submitted after 11/3, but students will NOT be able to participate in any practices, etc. until this form is on file with us. (Students running Cross Country for SJS do NOT need to submit a new form).

Picture Retakes Date Change

Please note that we have changed the date for school picture retakes to December 6th.  This will be for:

*Any student for which you were not satisfied with the original portrait (students need to bring the original picture packet when they come);

*Any student who was absent on the original day whether you are purchasing a package or not.

Any student having retakes done may come to school in dress down on Monday, December 6th.  Dress down on this day is ONLY for K – 8 students having picture retakes done.

The calendar in the SJS App has been updated to reflect this new date.
