Saint James School will be hosting the following “Open Gyms” for students who are FULLY-REGISTERED to play basketball this year.  If your student does NOT have their health form (in addition to registration form and appropriate fees) in to the office by the practice date, they cannot participate in Open Gym.

Saturday, November 13: Grade 4 Boys from 9am – 10am; Grade 5 boys from 10am – 11am

Monday, November 15th: Girls in Grades 6-8 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm;

Open Gym sessions are for students to practice their skills before the season officially begins.  Masks will be required and we ask that parents/adults do not enter the gym with students.

A STEM Club session will be held after school on Tuesday, November 16 for students in 2nd grade.  If your child would like to attend, please fill out the Permission Form below.  There are a limited number of spaces so students will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

As you may have read in last week’s email blast a member of our parent community, Gina (Cavallo) Clark, passed away unexpectedly last week. She has four boys who have grown up in Manchester, her oldest three children attended SJS and then Manchester HS; her youngest is currently a 4th grader here at Saint James School. The three oldest boys also lost their Dad about 7.5 years ago and are going to need a lot of support in the years ahead. As such, Gina’s friends have put together a fundraiser if anyone would like to participate.  Details from the organizers are below:

On Friday Nov 26th at 6:30pm there will be a fundraiser, “Community Blessings for Gina’s Boys,” at Manchester Country Club. Our hope is that you can help us raise as much money as possible to share with them and their family during this time of great need. Manchester CC and the Hollow Restaurant have generously waived all fees so the $25 ticket price goes directly into this fundraiser. We have created this web link for tickets to the event, a place to make Donations and Silent Auction Bidding for some great items for the cause donated from around the region. More items will be added to this website in the coming days. 100% of all funds raised will go to the Cavallo/Clark Boys.
