All last week, Saint James School K – 8th grade students participated in the worldwide initiative #HourOfCode2021, in honor of Computer Science Education Week. 

Reminder: Carols & Cocoa Moved To Sunday

Due to the rainy forecast for Saturday, the Carols & Cocoa event has been moved to SUNDAY, December 12th from 2-3pm in the school courtyard.  If you are able to attend on Sunday, please complete the form below so we have an accurate headcount for the new date.

PJ Day For The Kids

Thank you to everyone who supported our $1.00 PJ/Comfy Clothes dress down today.  Together we raised over $900 for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Tomorrow: 12:05pm Dismissal (No aftercare)

As a reminder, this Friday – December 10th – is a 12:05pm dismissal day.  All students need to be picked up at 12:05pm as there is NO After School Care available that day.

Tonight: HSA Meeting

The Saint James School HSA (Home & School Association) will hold their monthly meeting this Thursday – December 9th – from 7:00-8:00pm in the school cafeteria.  We welcome all of our SJS parents/grandparents to attend to learn about the many fun (and fundraising!) events that will be happening here at school over the next few months and throughout the year.

When you arrive at the school, please ring the buzzer at the breezeway doors and then head downstairs to the cafeteria.

Tonight: Hour of Code

This evening (Tuesday, December 7th) at 7:00pm, SJS families are invited to join in NATIONAL FAMILY CODE NIGHT. This event is a virtual event geared toward families with children in Kindergarten to Grade 5 and hosted by CS is Elementary. It is a one-hour live stream where parents and children can learn to code together! No coding experience is necessary to participate.

One lucky family will win a special prize drawing for Dash’s Neighborhood, a robotics virtual playground from Wonder Workshop, makers of Dash the Robot. And everyone gets a Code@Home Guide, full of free coding games and activities.
