This evening Saint James School will host an Open House for prospective families interested in our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten through 8th Grade program for the 2023-2024 school year.  If you know of anyone who may be considering Saint James School, please invite them to attend!

Questions regarding admissions for next year may be directed to our Admissions & Advancement Director, Amy Guenther (aguenther@saintjamesschool.net).  Registration for new students for the 2023-2024 school year is already under way.

Reminder From the Nurse

Parents of Grade 5 & 7 Girls AND Grade 8 Boys:

Each school year scoliosis screenings are conducted by the school nurse during scheduled gym classes for grades 5 & 7 Girls and Grade 8 Boys.

Two weeks ago letters regarding this screening were sent home with your son/daughter in these grades.  Parents must complete the form indicating whether or not they give permission for the student to be screened.

Please send the completed document back to the school nurse directly or send back via your student by March 31st.  If you need a new form, please reach out to our nurse, Mrs. Pennington.

Basketball Banquets

Yesterday afternoon we celebrated our 3 JV Basketball teams with an end of season pizza party and awards ceremony. Last night, we had a wonderful banquet for our 2 varsity basketball teams during which players and their families came together to celebrate the end of another great season!

2nd Grade STEM Club

Reminder: This Week’s Schedule

Saint James School will have 12:05pm dismissal this coming Wednesday (3/22) and Thursday (3/23) for parent/teacher conferences.  Aftercare WILL be in session both days, please remember students will need to bring lunch from home if they are going to aftercare (no hot lunch is served on early dismissal days).

For bus students, please note that due to our shortened day tomorrow (Wednesday) we will have all of our buses.

Additionally, there is NO SCHOOL this Friday (3/24) as our teachers will be attending an offsite Catholic Educators’ Conference.

 

Rock Your Socks Day A Success!

Thank you to all our Pre-K through Grade 8 students and staff who participated in our $1.00 “Rock Your Socks” Day for World Down Syndrome Day today – together we raised almost $400 for the Down Syndrome Association of Connecticut!!
