Yesterday our 2nd graders participated in the much-loved tradition of making gingerbread houses to bring home for Christmas. Below are some pictures of the kids creating and showing off their gingerbread masterpieces (click pictures to enlarge). There was even a special visit from Santa! Thank you to all the families who recognized their loved ones via our 2017 Tree of Blessings. Our 8th grade students hosted a beautiful prayer ceremony for the entire school this morning, recognizing each person named on the tree.
Yesterday, our Saint James School Choir, led by Mrs. Archangeli, traveled to two local assisted living facilities – The Residence at South Windsor Farms and Manchester Manor – to sing for residents and staff. Students in the school choir who will be going on the field trip to local nursing homes tomorrow (Tuesday, 12/19), will need to bring a lunch from home tomorrow. They will be back from their travels too late to purchase hot lunch.
