Virtue of The Month
This year Saint James School will be acknowledging our students who show great character through our “Virtue of the Month” program. Each month, a new virtue will be focused upon and explored during religion class. During the month of September, our students have been learning the virtue of Courage. Students have written about what courage means to them and have learned about ways they can be courageous both in and out of school.
At today’s Rosary, two students from each homeroom were awarded a Medal of Courage certificate for exhibiting courage during the month of September. Mrs. Zorger stated that students receiving awards were recognized by their teachers for exemplifying courage in many ways: i.e. joining a new school, overcoming an illness, and helping a friend in need, to name a few. Mrs. Zorger also announced the virtue we will be studying for October – Gratitude.
Below is a picture of the students (who were at present for Rosary this morning) who received the Medal of Courage award. Way to go SABERS!
