Living Lent: Family Opportuities for Growth
With the arrival of the Lenten season, we would like to take the opportunity to offer our families some ideas that can help spark conversations and strengthen the spirituality of your household.
Each week of Lent, we will be offering a Scripture passage, Lenten quotation, or prayer activity for your family to share together. We hope these suggestions will enrich your family’s journey through Lent, ending in a more blessed and joyful Easter.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Please note, Stations of the Cross are prayed at Saint James Church every Friday during Lent at 1:00pm and 7:00pm. Students from various grades will attend the 1:00pm sessions.
For this week’s Living Lent activity, consider praying the Stations of the Cross as a family. The Stations of the Cross allow us to walk with Jesus from his condemnation to his burial. Praying and discussing the Stations can help bring us to a deeper understanding of Jesus’ sacrifice for us. There are 14 Stations of the Cross and you could pray them all at once or you could focus on a couple each day this week.
