1st & 2nd Book & Art Club

On Friday afternoon, 1st and 2nd graders joined Mrs. Carpenter and Mrs. Rafferty for a fun Book & Art Club. The group read, “There’s a Monster In Your Book,” then created their own colorful and silly monsters to bring home.

Fire Safety & Prevention

On Friday our Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten - Grade 3 students met some real-life heroes while enjoying a presentation and hands-on fun with the Manchester Fire Department.

1st Grade Church Tour

Yesterday SJS 1st graders enjoyed a fun and informative "behind-the-scenes" tour of Saint James Church with Father Jaime.  We love this special tradition for our 1st grade students!

Power Squad Assembly

This morning our 3rd - 5th grade students enjoyed a short, fun-filled assembly about energy efficiency put on by the National Theatre for Children and sponsored by Eversource.

Congratulations SJS XC!

Congratulations to our Cross Country team on a strong performance at the Wickham Park Invitational this past weekend.  Our students competed against other middle school teams from across the state. 

Celebrating St. Francis of Assisi

Today classes learned about St. Francis of Assisi in honor of his Feast Day (October 4th). Pre-Kindergarten students also enjoyed a blessing of the (stuffed) animals with Deacon Bill from St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish.

Book Fair Fun!

Our Scholastic Book Fair is up and running!  The book fair is a great way to encourage reading and build home libraries.  It is also a great way to support our school as 50% of all purchases go directly to the school.

Kindergarten STREAM Fun!

Today during their STREAM Special with Mrs. Poth, our Kindergarten students listened to the Dr. Seuss favorite "Ten Apples Up On Top", then engineered their own contraption to hold ten apples. 

New Innovation Lab Dedicated to Longtime Volunteer

In commemoration of FIFTY YEARS of volunteer service to our school community, Saint James School has dedicated our new STREAM Innovation Lab in honor of Mrs. Carol O'Neill.  The dedication was formally announced along with the unveiling of the STREAM Innovation Lab at our Centennial Open House event this past Sunday.

Centennial Kickoff Weekend A Success!

Foundation Golf Tournament THANK YOU!

A HUGE Thank You to everyone who came out to support the Saint James School Foundation’s 28th Annual Golf Event last night!  We are extremely fortunate to have such a supportive community here at Saint James School - with numerous SJS parents, alumni, and alumni families all coming together for a day of golf, a delicious dinner, and lots of fun while raising money for the Foundation.

Opening School Mass

Today we celebrated Opening School Mass with Father Marcin.  Our students were excited to get back to attending with their older/younger buddies!

This September, Saint James School will celebrate 100 YEARS of providing an exceptional, faith-filled education to students in the greater Manchester area! We invite all SJS families, alumni, parishioners, and other friends of the school to join us as we kick off this exciting milestone over the course of two days.
