Attached is the 4th & 5th grade boys basketball game schedule. The website calendar has been updated to reflect these games.
Late Arrivals
Mrs. Kanute would like to remind parents of the importance of getting your child(ren) to school on time each morning. There are still an excessive number of late arrivals and Mrs. Kanute has noticed the same children arriving late on a regular basis.
Please remember, late arrivals are disruptive to the teacher, morning announcements, and the classroom routine. If you find yourself not making it to school between 7:30am and 7:45am, Mrs. Kanute asks that you please take a few moments today to talk to your child about the importance of being punctual and help them readjust their morning schedule accordingly.

Cancelled: SJS Family Pasta Dinner
The SJS Family Pasta Dinner has been cancelled due to a low number of RSVPs. We hope to try hosting this event again another time as it was such a huge success last year.
Jeannine Fundraiser Pick Up
Thank you again to all our families who made purchases through the Jeannine Fall Fundraiser. Please be sure to pick up your order today (Friday) in the breezeway if you have not already. If anyone has ordered frozen foods, it will not keep over the weekend.
Congratulations to our 2015 Volunteers of the Year
Congratulations to Darcy Donnelly and Heather Meyer, our Saint James School 2015 volunteers of the year. Mrs. Donnelly and Mrs. Meyer will both be honored, along with other volunteers from throughout the Archdiocese of Hartford, at a special dinner tomorrow night at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. Thank you our 2015 volunteers of the year – and to all our volunteers – for everything you do for Saint James School!
Veterans Day Ceremony
On November 11th (Veterans Day) Saint James School will be holding a ceremony to honor veterans as well as men and women currently serving in the military. The attached flyer was sent home with students a few weeks ago. Please remember to RSVP by Wednesday (November 4th) if you and/or any members of your family plan to attend.

JV Girls Basketball Rosters/Schedule
Attached please find the JV Girls Basketball Team Rosters.
The JV Blue team will be practicing on the following days:
Monday: 4:15 – 5:30pm
Fridays: 2:00 – 4:00pm
The JV White practice schedule will be announced shortly.

The first practice for all four teams will be Saturday November 7th as follows:
Coach Levin’s and Coach Williams’ teams from 9:00am to 10:30am;
Coaches Ghezzi/Tansil and Coaches Flores/Kalb from 10:30am to noon.
Parents are asked to e-mail their child’s coach(s) asap with their preferred e-mail address so the coaches can begin communicating with the team.
