Grades Pre-K through 5th

Tomorrow evening (September 19th) we will host our annual Meet the Teachers Night for Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade families.  Families with students in these grades are invited to drop in between the hours of 6:00pm and 7:30pm to chat with the teachers, check out the classroom, etc.  Students (and siblings) are welcome to attend this event with their parents.

Please remember the Scholastic Book Fair opens in the “big school” gym for shopping at 6:00pm on this evening and will be open until 8:00pm.

Middle School Parents Needed

Calling all Middle School Parents!  We are still in need of parents to help out at our book fair on Wednesday night during the “Meet The Teachers” event for the younger grades.  If you can help, please reach out to our volunteer coordinator Heather Meyer at grizmeyer@cox.net.

Cross Country Help Needed

Our volunteer Cross Country coach – Mrs. O’Neill – has a very large group of XC runners this year and is in need of additional help from parents.  If you enjoy running, please reach out to Mrs. O’Neill at the school to help.  The students run 2:00pm – 3:30pm mostly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Reminder: Morning Drop-Off Notice

Mrs. Zorger would like to remind parents that if a student needs to be at school before 7:30am, they must go to aftercare and clock in.  They are not allowed to hang out in the breezeway unsupervised.

Parents will know it is acceptable to drop-off when:

1) A staff member props the Breezeway doors open (when we are in the courtyard or gym); or

2) The teachers are out on duty in the parking lot (when we are in the staff parking lot while the roof is being worked on)

Thank you.

Important: Drop-off & Pickup

Mrs. Zorger is asking families once again to please be respectful of the laws and drive very slowly when in our school zone.  We do not want a terrible accident in our school community.

**We are fortunate to have a crossing guard in front of our school — please be aware of her positioning when driving through this area.

**Also, please set a good example and cross at the crosswalk during pick-up and drop-off – particularly when you are with your child/ren.  There have been a lot of parents/kids darting across the street in the mornings and afternoons. This is an accident waiting to happen – please cross at the crosswalk with the crossing guard, particularly during these heavy traffic times.

Our number one priority is keeping our students safe but we need your cooperation, patience, and understanding to make it happen.  Thank you for your support and attention to this pressing matter.
