Gala Basket Donations & Gala Auction Items
A huge Thank You to all the Saint James School families and friends who donated to the 2016 gala Class Baskets. The baskets are all put together for Saturday night and they look Amazing!! Also, a special thank you to the Room Moms for coordinating and assembling the baskets. Mrs. Kanute has awarded a dress down day next Wednesday (March 9th) to thank everyone for their help and support of the 2016 Gala. Below are pictures of some of the baskets. Important: Registration
As a reminder, 2016-2017 registration forms were due to the main office by last Friday. If you have not submitted your paperwork for next year, please do so by this Friday – March 4th – to guarantee your child(ren)’s spot(s) for next year. We have several new families interested in joining Saint James School in September and we are trying to determine space in the various grades.
Below are the registration forms in case you are in need of an additional copy. Or, please stop by the SJS main office to pick them up:

**If your child will not be returning next year, please complete the bottom portion of this form and return it to the office. Thank you again to all our families!
Science Fair Lunch Party
Congratulations to the winners of the 2016 Saint James School Science Fair! These students will now move on to the State competition. Today Mrs. Plante hosted a congratulatory lunch/strategy session to share feedback from the local judges and talk strategy for the State competition, which will be held March 15-19th at Quinnipiac University. Good luck Sabers!
Due Tomorrow: Registration for 2016-2017
Please be advised that registration paperwork for the 2016-2017 school year was sent home with students (youngest and only) at the beginning of the month. Completed forms are due back to the main office with the $100 registration fee by this Friday, February 26th. After February 26th, Saint James School will begin accepting new students where space is available.
For families with a student that will be entering the SJS Kindergarten program in the fall: If they are NOT currently enrolled in the SJS Pre-Kindergarten, please contact the main office as soon as possible to schedule their Kindergarten screening. An application form should be filled out for all new incoming Kindergarten students.

Gala Basket Items Due Tomorrow
LAST CALL: We are still in need of items for the SJS Class Baskets so we have extended the deadline to this Thursday, February 25th. Baskets will be arranged and wrapped on Monday, February 29th after school.
A dress down day will be held in early March for students who bring in an item for the basket.
These baskets bring in thousands of dollars for our school and are important to the success of the Gala. We hope everyone will support our SJS parent volunteers in this important initiative.
Each student should have received a note from their child(ren)’s room mother(s) detailing the basket theme and items needed. Please coordinate with the room mother to make sure the item is still needed prior to purchasing. As an alternative, cash can be sent in (in a clearly marked envelope) that the room mother can use to purchase items needed for the basket. If you have yet to send in an item, here is a list of the themes for each class. If you have any questions at all, they can be directed to the room mom for your child’s class or Robin Toomey at (860) 810-0079.

The Saint James School community mourns the loss of Mr. Edward DelSingore, husband of our school secretary, Eileen DelSignore. The DelSingore family appreciates the prayers and kindness the the Saint James community has shown them during this difficult time. We ask that you please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Reminder: 12:05 Dismissal Today
As a reminder, today (Wednesday, 1/27) is a 12:05pm dismissal day (aftercare will be in session). Due to an event being held in the Gym immediately following dismissal on Wednesday, we will be dismissing students from the parking lot between the school and the pre-kindergarten building instead of in the gym. This is for Wednesday, 1/27 only.
