2020 Annual Fund Update

As the calendar year draws to a close, we wish to extend a special Thank You to all the members of the Saint James community who have generously supported our 2020 Annual Fund Campaign! To date, we have raised $25,775 thanks to strong participation from our SJS parents, grandparents, alumni, parishioners, and other friends of the school.

As previously noted, this year’s donations are helping offset the substantial cost of modifications and purchases made to operate our school during the COVID-19 pandemic.  This includes a recent purchase of specialized air purifiers being added to our classrooms to clean the air.

Annual fund donations have helped us make many critical improvements in recent years such as bright, energy-efficient windows in the majority of our school and new energy-efficient roofs over our classrooms, breezeway, gymnasium/cafeteria wing, and Pre-Kindergarten. The impact of these improvements on our school facility has been significant and we thank you for your support.

If you have not yet made a (tax-deductible) donation to the Saint James School 2020 Annual Fund Campaign, we hope that you will consider helping Saint James School stay strong for the future by making a contribution today.  Every donation makes a difference!

Please visit www.saintjamesschool.net/annualfund for more information and to make an on-line donation.

Thank you again for all you do to support our great school!

Last Call! Soirée Basket Raffle Tickets

Tuesday is the last day to purchase!

As you may recall, just before we transitioned to remote learning last spring, we were days away from holding our Annual Soirée Fundraiser.  We had already collected numerous donations of items and cash for the raffle baskets and many baskets were already put together.  Since the HSA was unable to hold its largest fundraiser of the year, we are hoping to recapture some of those lost funds for our school by raffling off these amazing baskets!

In the link below you will find the information on the raffle – along with pictures of the items and baskets.  Please help support our Saint James School Community by purchasing tickets – and, possibly win some awesome prizes in the process!  If you have any questions, please contact parent volunteer Kristen Miller at kamiller1016@yahoo.com.

Reminder: Care Kits

Thank you to everyone who already signed up – what a great response!  We will have plenty more bags to give away so please sign up today if you you like some!

This coming Wednesday, some of our 8th grade students will be putting together special Care Kits for the homeless (like the Brian Bags we put together in 2019) using donations from the Knights of Columbus.  We are hoping that families in our school community will want to keep a few bags in their car to pass along if they encounter someone down on their luck, or donate them to a place where they can help someone in need.

If you would like to have a bag (or several bags) sent home for this purpose, please fill out this form:  https://forms.gle/wn4mKULiB4z1tv9w7
